Skoda Superb Coupe

... so, what do you think about that?

I could like that......a Superb competitor for the Passat CC and I quite like the concept. I think it needs a little work to make it look a bit sleeker however. Would VW ever allow it though? We never got the Tudor although that looked very similar to the A5, did Audi copy it? :)

I quiet like that,

and yes the A5 is the Tudor rebadged as an Audi.

I'd have a Superb Coupe if it looked like

or who can forget the Tudor GT1...

Yes :(

The Skoda Tudor was such a good design that it was actually Bentley that stole the design to make the Continental GT

I would have the Coupe without a shadow of a doubt. Does anyone think Skoda would ever be allowed to make a car like that as it would compete directly with Audi/VW?

If they could make the grills smaller on both the Tudor and the Superb Coupe, id considering buying one......about 6-7years once it had depreciated enough for me to afford it.

I think they might be allowed, just not yet. There are already signs that the rest of Europe has got over the Skoda stigma. Just look at the cost of a top. spec. Superb (over £30,000) in Germany.

It's all about brand image, and the VAG group have been very careful to cultivate Skoda as the 'sensible choice'. Whilst that remains, I'd say it will be pretty difficult for them to build (and sell) something like the Tudor. I'd sure like to see them try, though.

Bagpuss.

I think the only thing the Tudor and the A5 have in common is the fact its a Coupe. The Tudor was many years before the A5 and the technology has moved on loads since then. The 8E (I think) chassis that the A5 is based on like the modern A4 is pretty different to the much older Superb/Passat platform.

Awful, just awful.... :(

Stop dreaming, it aint gonna happen, Skoda always get the watered down products and they arent going to ever do anything that will be make the Skoda not only better and cheaper than a VW/Audi but also better looking. I think not.

Note how the new Superb has the detuned 3.6 V6 and no 3.0tdi, despite the mounting problems.

The skoda will always be slightly behind, especially if the twirps at VW UK marketing have anything to do with it.

To be fair only the R36 has a higher output (but it is an R after all) and the Passat doesnt have a V6 diesel.

Fair doos, I am just ranting today tbh...!
