Vodafone offer......hmmm

Featured Replies

I have been with Vodafone forever, I am happy with the price of my contract which is officially £16 per month although it works out more like £20. I get free minutes and free texts.

I can now upgrade my phone and this is what they've offered.

I have asked for a Nokia N95 8gb. I do not want any other phone. They will give me this for about £70 if I sign up for 2 years at my current contract rate. It's been painful waiting for this one to be up, as I signed up for 18 months last time. I'm not sure I can cope with 2 years, but I can't see myself going any where else either.

Something tells me I should be biting their arm off.

Or go elsewhere?

18 months is bad enough!

I got sick of the length of mobile phone contracts/rubbish customer services and just do o2 PAYG now. Joy.

Phones are updated so rapidly that what seemed to be a dream purchase is virtually defunct in no time

18 month contracts are a pain but I just got out of a Voda one after 9 months and made money on it!!

Had a N95 8GB for free on £45 a month. Dropped the contract to £20 a month so to buy the contract out was £180.

Phones4U gave me £100 cashback (literally cash in hand) and £155 trade in on my N95 8GB making a total of £255. Less the £180 is profit of £75.

I now have a free SE C902 on £40 a month.

So, it can be done. People arnt buying phones as much now so there are deals to be had.

I need to get a high contract cos I need the minutes for work.

Steve

screw em, go elsewhere.

Forget the £70! I've just finished talking to them and got the phone for £26. I've also got unlimited internet, email and all the other crap.

Bonus

o2 would beat that without the 2 years. Tell them they are taking the p*ss.

I'd guess that Voda would beat that for a new customer too.

2 years is forever - The N95 will be worn out long before then!!!

I just got an HTC Touch Diamond - FOC

600 Mins

Unlimited Texts

Unlimited Data - (Subject to fair usage)

Stop The Clock

Passport

on a 12 month contract for £25 per month. Ok so I had to fight for it but if you tell them you are looking at buying an iPhone they magically have more to offer you ;)

As soon as it arrives phone them and tell them that you want to return it under the 14 day returns policy and get rid of it.

Use the vodafone eForum moderators to get you a good deal.

The N96 is out the end of the month, so they'll have sold it to you for £1 to shift their stock of N95 8GB!!!!!

Been with Orange forever (11 years now), and all they've done is screw me over and give me crap service.

**** brand loyalty. I'll go to someone else and get the phone free.

Thanks for everyones thoughts on the offer. I researched before deciding and nobody would touch me with such a low contract amount each month. I'm happy with what I got today. :)

As a network, Vodafone beats the pants off everything else, despite being a little more expensive, it will only take one "Network Busy" to make you regret moving.

If you can get a deal out of them (Which it looks like you have) then stick with them

Never had network busy in 10 years with Orange.

Works O2 mobile on the otherhand, you're privileged if you DONT get a busy message!

O2 were a good network but for customer service? Vodafone gave my cousin a good deal after negotiating.

I used to get it regularly on Orange, still get it on Vodafone as well now.

Don't do the 2 year thing, thats waaaaaay tooooo looooooonngggg!

I am currently desperate to get out my orange 18 month contract to get an iPhone (i know i know!), i pay £25 a month and have unlimited txt's and 600 mins free calls to any network any time along with insurance but i've been with them for 5 years now and feel like a change.

Got about 5 months left now...........it's a long wait!

I have had exactly the opposite service and I go all over the country and we get far less problems nationally with Voda. Shame I have to use O2 as it's what we are given in work.
