I never thought it...

Featured Replies

Well, just stumbled across this forum of like minded Roomster owners. I thought I was the strange one liking the shape, but there's load of us.

Bought my Roomster 3 1.9TDI back in May, just coming up for its first 10k service and I pretty impressed so far with the car, esp at an average of 55mpg :)

I have noticed, just lately, an increase in the number of Roomsters on the road. Have the sales shot through the roof?

Anyhow, I'm glad I've found this place...

Welcome.

We have been here for a while, most of us having owned other recent Skoda models.

They are rarer than a rare thing round our way.

Really? I travel to Oakdale/Newbridge/Crumlin just about everyday from Malvern and I always see at least one along the road to Ponty.

I drove from Hampshire to Norfolk and back last weekend and didn't see a single other Roomster during the 400 mile round trip. I did see a new VW Scirocco on the M25. Which was nice.

Well here's my anything but "Chiily" welcome!

Welcome from another owner.

Well done on finding the forum!

Roomsters are such cool cars. The fact they are so quirky makes them great. I wish more people where open minded about them.

I'm finding sales of Roomsters picking up. Especially with people who seem to be going from 2 cars (one huge estate and one town car) into one Roomster as it does everything both old cars could do but with better economy.

Welcome to Briskoda :wavey:

Roomsters seem to me to be a very sensible car, plus the fun factor of their quirky, but very "designer" looks!

Perhaps their one limitation is they are big enough to compete with cars based on small family hatches eg Golf Plus, Seat Altea and Renault Megane/Scenic, but most of their mechanicals are based on a supermini. Thus they lack the bigger engines that might make them a more versatile car.

That's what tuning is for ;)

The back end is MK4 Golf btw :D

Welcome!

Welcome roommate. There are more getting about, but it's still a rarish car.

Welcome to the forum

I too have noticed an increase in Roomster numbers of late. I think they're great; I was just saying at the weekend if I was in need of something bigger I would consider one.

Glad you like it :)

I was in Wales on my hols last week, there were loads of Skodas about - we parked up at the Brecon Beacons Visitor Centre on one day and ours was one of four Skoda Fabias.

Saw a few Roomsters, two Fabia II estates and loads of MkIs. Seen a few more Roomsters closer to home too. They are distinctive, and the Ocean Blue really looks ace.

I do like the Roomsters with sunset glass - they look ace!

Yep not many either in Yorkshire, not the Scout anyway

get alot of people gawping at it, probably not knowing what it is!

also shock a few people with the pace & handling of it now, now it is modded a bit!

They looker smarter than the Citroen or Renault competitors. I think Skoda designers have done very well.
