how much are you paying to insure your octy vrs? just got my renewal of £650.00, im aged 34 with no points or claims! sounds expensive to me!

Just did mine today for a vRS Octavia II Estate - £200 through Swift Cover. Am 39 with no claims etc, but do few miles and live in the back of beyond....

Sounds a bit steep. I'm a bit older than you and pay £340 fully comp, no claims protected. Oh, and the wife has three points for speeding too.

That sounds ridiculously expensive for a 34 year old I would have thought morelike half that!

I pay just over a grand for mine but I have 6 points, 1 claim and only 2 years NCD, aged 26. Points come off next year and I'll have my IAM and another years NCD by then though so expecting it to go down to about what you're paying at the moment.

£300.

39yo in Enfield, London, 11 years no claims, wife on the policy (which reduced the premium), driveway overnight (the car, not the wife)

regs

Neil.

I'm 26. Paying £460 fully comp/NCB protection/able to drive any car etc. All the trimmings really.

No points, 6yrs NCB.

Sounds like ur being ripped off mate!

just been on the internet page of said insurance company & got a quote as me & it came up as £449.88!!!!! will be ringing them & having words when i get home!! time to shop around for quotes! they do give me a big discount on my van as well however times are hard & there are plenty of other companys that will want my money!:)

£312 32yr old living in the back of beyond, all below mods declared inc FMIC.

£390 With loads of mods declared

37yr with full protected NCB

£382- 26 8yrs NCD Fully comp, no NCD protection, 14k/yr + business use. Standard vRS.

Or in summary, yes I'm confident you can get that cheaper :)

23 5 Years NCB £440.00 Fully comp protected no claims

;)

sounds okay considering you have no no claims

i'm 22 paying less than £700 with mods declared - i do hope it comes down this year tho, but the remap will probably put it back up there! :squint:

Thinking mine could be a bit high... if some of you are under 25, with mods, and still paying less than half what I pay... there's something wrong there...saying that I didn't shop around I went with a broker my mates dad got a "good deal" with :( :thumbdwn:

£280 and I'm 31 with full no claims and protected. My Wife is named on the insurance also. Thats with Elephant or Direct Line (always switch between the two each year)

£355 for an '05 mk1 vRS estate with Elephant (basically same company as Admiral and Tesco). I'm 33 and got 8years NCB, so like chicken eyebrow I'm thinking I could prob do better, though was my best quote at the time. Adding infrequent business use was only another £35 or so

Those of you with mods/re-maps declared - who are you insured with? Renewal due early Nov and remap due end this month (can't wait!)!

I'm with Chris Knott for £312 all declared

im 23 fully comp with 3 or 4 years no claims , and im paying £900 with elephant .

45 yo, full NCB, legal insurance, roadside assistance & protected NCB - including business use. Esure are quoting £550 for renewal, but my bank's already said they'l beat that by at least 10%..

Forgot to say, mine is the estate, and it seems marginally cheaper to insure based on the quotes I was getting when originally looking for the car a year ago. That 0.1 of a second difference to 60 is what does it I tells ya!

I'm 35,full no claims, 3 points and live in Staffs. I just renewed my insurance with More than and paid £309 with £100 excess and protected no claims..... Cat 1 alarm makes a big difference I've been told?

I'm 25, 5 years no claims, £480 fully comp with protected no claims or £440 without pnc.

I guess Mikey, once you have a years no claims it will drop quite abit. Does seem quite high.

A big part of it is poste code so thats why some are higher!!!

If your in london especially in a bad area its going to be high.

£650, Jaysus!!!

I'm 28, 5 years no claims, clean licence which i've had 8 years, also the wife is 23 only had her licence 2 years as a named driver: £357 with Sainsburys.

Just sorted it last week, she found that.

Best bit is Sainsburys are done through esure and yet esure wouldn't renew my insurance on the octavia from the fabia because the mrs is under 25??

Best i found was £425 with Admiral, when i phoned up to pay monthly it was over £600!!!

Ours is the diesel though.

i'm 27, swmbo is 24 and i'm paying less than 300 with more than, 3 years no claims and livin in the middle o nowhere!
