vrs insurance.

Featured Replies

I'm 24 (insurance came out when I was 23) all the mods below declared £866 with Sky insurance. Girlfriend is 27 and is on the policy too.

I'm with Chris Knott for £312 all declared

Sounds like I need to give Chris Knott a ring! Anyone got any ideas what kind of discount is typically offered when a decent alarm's fitted?

Are insurers raising prices cos of the credit crunch?! Everyone else seems to be...

Bugger just checked mine without mods, £217 with swift. Ahh well the mods are worth the extra .

Don't forget there's insurance and there's insurance. For example excess varies, some companies provide courtesy cars & some companies are just plain tight with claims

im 23 fully comp with 3 or 4 years no claims , and im paying £900 with elephant .

Ive just left Elephant - I was paying over over £700 with them and it went UP when I renewed it (no claims made with them) :finger::thumbdwn:

Now pay £350 with Halifax

I was paying about 600 quid in the UK - Aged 31 and 11 years' no claims! Living in South Leeds though and parking on the street.

Here in NZ I pay the equivalent of about 200 quid for any driver over 25 and an agreed value if it gets nicked or whatever.

I pay £89 PCM with direct line im 30 and have 2yr NCD, It expires in 2 weeks and ill have 3yr NCD so I shall be shopping it around as that seems very expensive to me, only been driving 2 yrs though.

Ouch!

yeah thats what I thought, had no choice really ive had 4 cars in the space of a year, megane, octyvrs, fabvrs then octyvrs again and was cheaper to stick with them and alter policy rather than take out a new policy and loose the ncb.

Plus this includes all the breakdown and hirecare, legal etc

all sorted now guys,i didnt write my 1st post very well i meant i had no claims in 16 years of driving,i have 9yrs+ protected ncb:O!! anyway after lots of searching & ringing round im now with churchill, got my van & car insured for lot less than i was quoted for octy! :):)

Just saw this thread, you lucky things!

£1300 for 10 months with Admiral - 25, 4 yrs NCB (though it's still affected by the lovely chap in the white Rover 420 who rammed my previous car and promptly vacated the area leaving me to foot the bill and accept fault), on the street in East London.

It'll have to go before next renewal, planning a move to the Furby vRS...

£614 with 30,000 miles a year, 26 with 6 yrs no claims no points and car is parked on street in a dodgy area, exhaust and air filter. Cheaper than standard with only 20,000 a year

Wow, mind if I ask who that's with? I'm only down for 12k a year, I must be being fleeced! Might even be able to insure that remap I keep thinking about doing...

Good old Adrain Flux. Were cheaper when i had my modified mazda than a standard one was with anyone else.

Great, thanks. I'll definitely be giving them a call come renewal time!
