Some pics: the link =)

Hopefully I will get better at taking pictures in the dark. I just have to figure out how all cameras features works

Tips and/or comments are welcome.

Hmm, nice.

Cant get the first link to work, it says I need to logon.

And here are some more pics on my site

One day I will go to sweden and see this great scenery in the flesh.

Looks rather low, has your suspension collapsed? :D

Looks lovely, I too really must go to Sweden

Is there any way to post any low-res piccies on the actual messages, rather than supply a link to a website? Its just that I'm trying to get some pics of my Fabia's new wheels, but I don't have a website to upload them too..

Dev,

If you can hang on for a little bit, you can have dev.myfabia.com (or similar)...

If you ever actually decide to go to Sweden and Stockholm in particular, I'll give you a guided tour :drive1: ;)

The suspension is fine, I just asked lots of really fat people to sit in the car while taking the photos and then just photoshoped them(not the fat people) :D Hmmm, maybe I should just lower the car in photoshop next time...

I just remembered I have one of those yahoo / geocities sites that I could probably use (will inform everyone when I've taken the piccies this weekend, and uploaded them) I think I made the site when I was on broadband at university and got bored, so made my own site for free. I only hope its still running and I can remember the URL.

Ooh - talking about Stockholm, anyone seen those two videos called "Getaway in Stockholm" where those nutters in highly tuned RS Cosworth / Toyota Supras charge around Stockolm? I saw the DVD at the weekend, and its very entertaining, and highly illegal too. The dash cam showed the Supra doing around 320KM/h at one point, which I believe is bloody quick, and I can't be bothered to divide it by eight, and multiply by five to find the mph

Like most swedish car enthusiasts I too have seen the getaway movies. The 2:nd with the Supra and Cossie is IMO by far the best of the trilogy. Another crazy movie shot in Stockholm is Ghostrider. It features a turbocharged Hayabusa doing 200mph+ on public roads:rolleyes:

Oh, 320kmh=198mph.

Thanks, Chrille, I kinda figured it was somewhere in the region of 200mph just by the way it looks. I also took a look at the speedo on my TDI and realised it ended at 220kmh, so 320kmh had to be quick. I also enjoyed the second of the movies, the porsche 911 one seemed to not be pushing that hard, often coasting instead of using brakes/gear downshifting to slow down. I thought the driver of the RS cosworth drove well though, plus I loved the wooshing noise the engine made, which I think must have been a dump-valve or something like that. I wonder what I'd need to do to my Fabia to get it up to 200mph? throw it out of aeroplane perhaps?

Superb pictures, Chrille. Stockholm is a beautiful city. And loved the RS in the snow!

Yes, the Getaway and Ghostrider movies are amazing, but it's the all (and awe) inspiring original that will remain the ultimate "Getaway" experience to me: the short movie "Rendezvous" shot by famous French film maker Claude Lelouch in his younger days. It shows Paris at dawn in 1968, from the bonnet of a recklessly speeding Ferrari, hurtling its way through cramped streets all the way up to Montmartre for the driver to meet his lady. Breathtaking - and that glorious Ferrari engine note! Beats a clinical turbo swoosh anyday :D

Just been to my website, and the sods at Yahoo have taken it offline, so I'm gonna have to rebuild it from scratch. I suppose thats handy as I can stick in all the new pics of the Skoda without having to fiddle what was there before (it was only a crappy map showing where I lived). I'll supply the URL after Easter, because if I do it now, there'll be nothing for anyone to see. Maybe I can take the car up on Dartmoor for some atmospheric photography? I'm going to want some ratings on them next week, OK? Cheers

Have you not bought your Briskoda.net sticker, and got your free web space? :D

A lot more reliable than that Yahoo stuff too!

Rob.

Haven't even thought about the sticker... I guess thats what you get from putting your bookmark as the forum, as opposed to the main site, where the sticker thing is. I'll make a mental note to put my name (and money) down for one - rear windscreen is looking a little bare after I ripped out the dealer's sticker - I wasn't put on this earth to advertise his dealership - If anyone is interested, they only have to look at the reg plate anyway to find where it came from (also it came with this awful red logo of the dealer, just under the "fabia" graphic on the boot - that came off before I even drove it out the garage!! :nono:
