What Phone??

Featured Replies

It's that time of the year again :(

Currently have N95. What shall I get? SE C902 or Nokia N96?

If I break it all down to a monthly cost, including any handset prices I can have the C902 for £40 per month or the N96 for £52.50 per month.

What do I do?? lol

whats the point in getting a big uber expensive phone if you dont actually use any of the features on it??

keep the nokia and get a massive discount on your line rental.

I've already done that. I'm on £10 a month for now, but I want something new to play with, hence why I only get 12 month contracts lol

Oh, and I've scratched most the keys off now texting. Bloody nails!

Orange let you upgrade at 15 months into an 18 month contract... although I presume you can upgrade just short of your 12 months too! I got £150 instant cash back to upgrade to Nokia 6500 slide then sold that for £120... on another 18 monther with better mins/texts and same number then they rang me up and knocked £5 a month off my £35!! ...and I still get the free 2 MB broadband.

The C902 is the one with pull out camera bit isn't it? I like SE for the cameras and I like this method of turning it on. I'm currently playing with a Nokia 5310 because of its music-ness but the 2 Meg camera is totally sh!te!! Not a patch on my SE K800i's 3.2 Meg. So I've decided to buy the mother-in-laws virtually new brand-free one - she thinks its too heavy and has resurrected her 23 year old V3!

Anyway, back to your problem... I think alot of SE new phones have arkward buttons...

I previously had a N95 8GB and now have a C902.

The n95 was obviously more full of connectivity and more stuff to it but for how much I used it a huge amount was wasted.

The c902 has a solid "heavy" feel to it, very impressed with it.

Keys are a little hard to press though so make sure its ok for u before committing,

Steve

So you're going to pay and extra 30/42.50 a month for a new phone which, on an 18 month contract, will cost you £540/£765!

Surely it would make more sense to stay on the cheapo tariff and spend the money you would have spent on the higher contract with the new phone on a new phone with some change left over!!!

True, but then your next upgrade wont be until 18months, with 3 remaining before you can junk them.

My 18 month's up next month, and I'm set on the N96 on Tmobile. I may even get one as soon as launched and run the N95/Orange for the final 10 days before getting my PAC code.

No Phil -12 MONTH!! As I pointed out from the start lol.

It is a cheapo tariff...have you actually read what I put?

The tarrif is £25 a month for 12 months unlimited texts and 500 minutes - more than I'm currently getting for £35 a month!! The phones will both cost money, so what I did was divide that into a monthly cost as though the handset was given free and cost made up through line rental. I also added on £2.50 a month for internets. Then after 12 months I can upgrade again. Make sense now?

I wont upgrade my current one cos O2 have decided to stop doing 12 months contracts. So they can shove their 18 month contract up their greedy little a$$! :)

As for cameras - not a big issue really, I have plenty of those. I do like the look of C905 but it's not even out yet....

What network is that with?

Tmob are doing their flext 35 for £25/month for a limited time and that is a cracking deal. SWMBO, like myself was on Orange's Dolphin 35 and getting high bills for not really using it.

SWMBO's bills have been £35 MAX since she ditched Orange.

Already had a flext plan before my O2 one. Will be 18 months - I refuse :) besides, flext isn't unlimited texts. I don't ring alot, and when I do it's not normally a long call.

im waiting for my current phone to be replaced by the C902 as it looks a good phone and people i know with one recommend it.

tbh i dont think O2 online do 12 month anymore... looking on their website options are 18 or 24 month contracts

8.1 Meg on a phone!!

Roll on August 2009 then! :)

How many texts do you actually send a month?

Exactly, how many texts per month.

Dont be fooled by tarrifs offering unlimited texts. Unless you send hundreds every month, you dont need it. In fact I think many will struggle to hit 300 texts! A text actually costs the network next to nothing (£0.001 to be kind of precise) to send.

i was hitting in excess of 100 a day earlier this year!

my bill was 250 a month 4 months on the run!

ive calmed down now but my bill still hovers around the 60 quid mark every month! :o
