First snow flake

Featured Replies

First snowflake this year appeared on Friday night, had a feeling Wednesday it be by the end of the weekend. Yes i know at the beginning part of the year we had them on display but im on about the start of this winter. Temp got down to 3.5c and had felt cold all evening (and all day). I was disappointed in the size of it on the maxidot as i thought (as i had forgotton since start of year) it would take up most of the display.

Mine appeared the first weekend of September. The temp got down to around 2 degrees I think. It was around 5.30 in the morning and I was drving through dense fog. I haven't seen it since, but I don't think it'll be long though judging by how cold it's been of late.

I was playing golf in Kames on friday and it was bitter, heading hoe around 8pm and it got down to 0.5 on the display, and having just been outside it doesnt feel much warmer tonight.

No snow at the golf though, but did get lashed with pea sized hailstones for 5 minutes.

Saw -1C last week on the car but no snow. In laws got a good snow shower at Aviemore on Saturday.

I can see some snow on the taller mountains from my house
