Hello peeps! Sorry I've been ignoring y'all of late but I've been very busy. However just a wee post to bring you all up to date.

Last week I sold my W Reg Octavia Sdi with 147,000 miles on the clock and got a not to shabby

brian,

good to see you!

don't leave it so long next time. :)

Welcome back, Brian. And the bad news is that an injector for an Octavia 1.9 diesel engine is the same.........ie

Got the pd130 in Comfort trim, and am very pleased with it. It cruises real nice and gives a smooth and comfortable ride for any passengers. The only downside is the large rear doors, which need a little thought when opening near to other cars....but thats it really.

DGW good news for anyone looking for an injector I got an exchange unit for

Good to hear from you again BAAHEED.

Get the V6 :D

Ello Brian , .........nice you could spare us the time ... ;)

From a Taxi point of view , then I would assume the 1.9 , but I expect you'll go for the 2.5 !

Not driven a V6 TDi, though I'm perfectly happy with the performance of my PD130. Hate the diesel clatter and the smoke though :(

Ok heres the verdict - Had a 1.9 130 for trhe day on Wed did about 200 miles and I could live quite happily with it so have negotiated a price on the demonstrator I drove a 53 plate with 17" Alloys ( a must have if you ask me) and in mystery blue with 3500 miles on the clock at

But wait on reading the trade (taxi trade that is) press theres a company offering new 54 Plate Superb 1.9 130 Comforts for

Right everyone got the quote in writing and it looks all pukka  still cannot believe the price and niether can my local dealer when I showed him. Anyway I've placed the order for delivery beginning Sept. My only niggle in the back of my mind is that this is still an import so I wouldn't mind if someone out there could perhaps give me an idea of what might be missing from an import that would be on a UK spec car?

BTW the place doing this unbelievable deal is Fowlers in Newcastle under Lyme Staffordshire.... would also be interested in hearing from anyone in that area who knows anything about them.

Hi Brian,

Nice to hear from you every now and then :)

That's a fabulous price. One quick q., your last two posts seem to contradict themselves - is the can an official (Skoda) import or a grey import?

Thats what I don't know the dealer is still claiming its not an import at all and that its a UK car. Thats why I would like to know if there are any differences in spec so I can identify what I've actually bought when I get it.

Dunno if this helps but you could check out for example www.skoda-auto.ie or the relevant one for each country and see what the standard model has and whats extra.

Thanks Gaff the one I drove had the armrest and climate control,cruise,6 disc CD changer. I believe the Comfort should also have 16" Alloys, rain sensing wipers, courtesy lighting in door mirrors and umbrella thingy in rear door . The one I drove had options of 17" alloys and cargo flex.

What warranty is offered with the vehicle, Brian? Presumably you would get SkodaAuto's two year unlimited mileage warranty but no SkodaAssistance (ie AA breakdown cover for 3 years) since the latter is provided by SkodaAuto UK for cars sold through their dealer network.

And Irish Superbs have cd player only and no mention of 6 disk changer
