Felicia Temp 1.6 Gauge Not Moving.

Featured Replies

Hi clever folks!

Im aware of the 1.3 Felicia non-moving temp gauge/thermostat housing problem having owned a couple in the past, my question is would this be the cause of my non-moving temp gauge on my 2000/W 1.6 Felicia?

could be, the one on mine barely moved until i replaced the sender. Have you checked the plug onto the sender?

The temp gauge does go up if you leave the car standing but not much, How would i find which parts were faulty without going to the dealer that blew up my VRS!

I off work this week and im keen to get it sorted.

You don't need to go to a dealer.

I had to take mine to the garage last year to have the stat/sender and rad fan switch changed after the car overheated in 2007.

The temp gauge hardly moved, but after a few weeks it did and the gauge would stay halfway when it was warmed up.

Is it best to change both the thermostat and the sender then?

The Skoda garage I bought the unit from sold the stat and sender housing as one unit about £58
