Received my NU Direct car policy renewal schedule last week and fortunately checked the period of cover - 13:09 on 01 May 2003 to 00:00 on 1 May 2004. Rang NU Direct on Saturday, explained that cover should commence at 00:01 not 13:09, paid the renewal premium, and today received a 'corrected' Certificate of Motor Insurance showing cover from 00:01 on 1 May 2003 to 00:00 on 1 May 2003! A further corrected version is now in the post.....

The moral - check your insurance particulars carefully!:(

No, not a father again, thank goodness! . We have just adopted our dog's mum - a 7 year old Staffordshire Bull terrier. Dad is an American Staffordshire, hence daughter is a Staffie cross.
