Floor mats

Featured Replies

Can anybody tell me whether the factory fit mats at £50-00 are any different to the retailer supplied items at £45-00 or even those at £38-00.

Also does anybody know if the handbooks are available as attachments so new owners can have a read before their cars are delivered.

Many thanks

Personally I did not think the Skoda £50 car mats were worth the money. I have them, but they are not in the car anymore  Yes you have the correct fittings to secure them to the floor but I found them to be thin and cheap and certainly not worth the money. I purchased a set of good quality Carpet and Rubber mats from my local Car Accessory shop (Presteige make) and cut them to shape using the Skoda mats as templates :).

I went for the Skoda rubber mats, both for inside the car and in the boot. Both are very good quality, and were thrown in for free by the dealer.

I've got a set of carpet mats as well, but these were provided by my lease company, and don't appear to be the official Skoda set. They're not bad, but I can't see any good reason to use them at the moment.

Not sure about the rubber ones, but Factory fit carpet mats are secured by the plastic lugs at the front, and (a kind of) velcro in the rear with no decals. The Dealer mats are secured by plastic lugs both front and back, and have the "superb" logo on them. Both are of similar quality, but I prefer the dealer supplied ones (although it does mean some DIY in the rear to attached the supplied locking lugs to the carpet.)

Has anyone bought a boot mat for the Superb II? I see there is a rubber mat and also a recycled plastic mat with raised edges. I tempted to opt for the latter.

I've got the flat rubber boot mat, which does have slightly raised edges, even though it's not supposed to.

It works just fine, and protects the boot carpet really well. I've lugged around bags of coal and logs, with no problems. It just wipes clean, and is good as new. My dealer threw it in for free, so no complaints here.

I have the dealer velour ones, front driver one I've worn through in less than 20k, they are nice and are great cos they are located ones so they don't move, gonna try to get a new front set soon.

Na, I've done nearly 30k in an old Superb, mats were part of the deal, but they wore through badly in under 20k.

might be different mats in the new superb ?

It'll be the same material, tbh I've never had anyones mats last long, I put it down to my fast footing, and as it's an auto it must be my heel pivoting that takes the mat out.:o

The mats on my superb (old one) were dealer fit with 'Superb' on them and they have been really good to be honest, Done 40k in em and not really worn at all, but as I do motorways maybe that is why...
