Waiting Time for Fabia vRS?

Featured Replies

I hit 25-30 k a year and got the VRS for the same reasons taking it easy but not trying to break mpg records it will do 54-57 mpg. I have an average of 54.5 in 2500 miles...

Took 2 wweks to get mine but it was pre-registered to save the

Any other Northern Irish vRS owners about btw?
William - who owns a real vRS. :)

i got a deal today on an 04 reg. they threw in 2 free services. the tax is free so i don't have to pay for that and it's got about 2500 miles on. i think they said i'd be looking about 2 weeks wait for a red brand new one which was my first choice. so i'm getting mine on saturday or monday depending on when the finance comes through. I CANNOT WAIT!

I'm going to have to take some time to think about changing I think, Scooby needs to be put through MOT in the meantime, then it'll be time to get the 'for sale' signs up.

My local dealer said it would take 10 weeks to get a Fabia vRS, and offered me 2p for my mint Golf GTi 3-door (Petrol) Turbo. Without a trade in, he would knock

aixlad - I sold my Mk3 Golf VR6 on Autotrader and go no test pilots just serious callers and a buyer, really quickly.... I`d rather do that than wait on a auction to complete... give it a go, its cheap at the mo,

The Furby is within reach now! Went out for a short test drive on Friday after work, completely amazing! I can't believe how much go the vRS has, its like a pitbull pulling at the lead, so much power on tap. Drove home afterwards with a big smile on my face. Best of all, the garage said they are getting a Corrida Red vRS on Mon/Tue., and offered a very competitive finance deal with no final payment. Only problem is I'm going to the US for four weeks on Friday for training, so that will delay things. Won't be able to stop thinking about it the whole time I'm over there I'll bet. In the meantime I'll be driving a rental car on the wrong side of the road in Dallas, Texas. Sh*te....

Andy, thanks for that. It's been about 15 years since I last sold a car, so you can understand my aprehension! I never thought about AutoTrader, but still think that eBay will bring a market price.

Trying to insert an image here (never done this before), it may not work, I have no confidence! Here goes........

I test drove a Fabis vRS last week, now I'm quite sure it's quicker than my GTi Turbo. Need a good price for this one.

Baaaaarh! Anyone know how an idiot can insert images?

I got it, I got it (sorry to foul up the site with pics of Golf GTi)

Anyway, I've been reading about KONI vs. Eibach so maybe some of this may be of use. I have KONI ride/height sports suspension (coil overs) on this and from day 1 have had problems with the rubber gaitors. The gaitors appear to be made of some kind of compressed chocolate cake mixture and seem to perish really quickly, this is a problem when it comes to the MOT (+ the required roadside rebuild to fit them). Next time I think Eibach deserve a chance. Can anyone else recommend Eiback over KONI or whatever?

I see a set of KONIs for Fab vRS is about

Did you upload the image to the post or to the gallery?

Thanks Quinten, I got there in the end :rubchin:
