Yes, someone on here has done it to their car. I can't remember who though, so hopefully someone who does will tell you. Looked very nice, but at a price of

Dave C is the man to talk to as he had it done however he has sold his Octy and isn't around now, it looked good he had his done in Alcantara but was quite pricey IIRC as Q said.

2k ???rip off merchants, its only 4-5 bits of cloth. thats not gonna happen,4-5 tins of shoe polish it is then

There's a thread on Pistonheads.com where someone recommends a specific coachworker. I'll try and find out who it is, but they reckon it shouldn't coist much more than a few hundred pounds.

i looked into doing this with a local coachtrimmer and was quoted about

cheers for the link mate,500 quid is still too pricey imho

as a temp measure you could teflon guard the seats, i find that helpds get alot of crud off the centres... a good leather care like meguiars gold class keeps the rest in top condition...

i think a blanket ban of any foodstuff int the car is my first step, didn't think about 2 kids and silver cloth too much did i?

simular sort of ban is in effect in mine... ;)

saying that i dont have kids to worry about yet and the better half is more protective of the car than i am so i'm on to a winner all round.

"Sutts" knows someone that had their Fabia RS done in all black leather by Clock Garage (a Skoda dealer) for about

No FOOD in mine. No one in there work gear. No pi55ed people, and i dont have any kids so NO KIDS TO.

when I get my vRS, there will be a no food/drink rule in force. Plus Outdoor shoes will be put in the boot and slippers must be warn at all times!

..... No pi55ed people,......

This was quickly added to my list of no-no's :banned:, if you catch my drift :drunk: =>

is it hard to keep the seats clean?

I rarely have the nipper in the vRS as he travels mostly in the wifes 1.6 Octy. However my solution to the problem of the seat colour is a clear plastic seat cover on the back seat (loads of mini cab drivers use them) and seat covers that just cover the top of the seat and front of the seat back and are held on by elastic straps, for the front seats in the car. This does not interfer with the air bags. As for the carpets, I bought very large rubber maps and cut them to size and shape. These more or less completely cover the carpet. So hopefully when I sell the car once a vRS version of the new Octy comes out, the seats and the carpet condition should not put buyers off.

Just buy a seat cover...something nice mind. I did and it looks alright, comes off for meetings and outtings with my ladyfriend.

Apart from that, no cleaning no messing about and damn cheap as no cleaning.

Works for me dude ;)

Sounds like a nice job!

I've e.mailed a company local to me about retrimming the cloth inserts. If they can be arsed to get back in touch I'll let you know.

If anyone is interested I've also found that Amorall Tough Wipes are good for sprucing up said inserts.
