I noticed it went up, only hidden and only on orange on their website tonight, and the chap I spoke to was pretty sure it came out tomorrow, he even mentioned they had preordered 5000 of them and complained they were releasing it on the same day as the pie phone as it doubles his work load. I'll let you know how I go.

Just called in Cw branch and they looked at me as if I'm mad lol.

Well we had over 8000 pre orders this time last week for them so thats a lot of sheep!

The only thing putting me off a pie phone is the fact that I have a Nokia car kit. If I could be sure it would work with pie phone I'd be willing too look at one I guess.

I just called CPW, after apologising insincerley they confirmed that the physical phones were in the warehouse but have not been "booked in", when they are booked in (Monday) they are not sure if its being booked in for orders on tuesday for delivery on wed, or orders on mon delivery on tuesday, confused? me too.

Bottom line, I will have it by the very latest on Wednesday (if you believe CPW:D)

N97 comes out tomorrow,. I had a run in with the carphone warehouse today, they charged me £60 extra on my last bill for data charges, so after a bit of email ping-pong they came right out and basically told me to go and **** myself with a cactus.

CPW are like that these days. Always used them as were honest and decent.

No i wouldnt get the omina for several reasons

A) its only available on-contract from Orange

Its 599 sim-free for the 8gb ver

C) its a samsung - no matter how good it may be on paper, any bugs it will undoubtably have will not get fixed thru firmware and all the best Symbian apps are signed to run on nokias only (i have a Innov8 - far superior to the N96, but crippled thru bad firmware and software support. have had it for almost 10 months and only had 1 firmware update that made the phone "bearable" )

I guess by the way the guy I was speaking to was talking (Disconnections/customer loyalty) that they work on a commision basis which I suppose can only encourage them to provide a better service.

Had hawk them the N95 too get it free but the 95 was dying on it's feet, I dropped it again when I walked in the shop and the case split, so I let them take it .

Aye it seems O2 are stalling on the release :eek: Some good T-Mobile deals about but I have used T mobile once and I get no signal at work at all :(

It was supposed too be a O2 only handset at CPW. It didn't happen for some reason though:confused::confused:

I'm going to try and hold out , my N95 is only lasting 1 1/2 days on standby before going flat now , dunno whats wrong as a new battery made no difference but i'm due a new phone in October so i might have to wait until then:(

i like my 6220c,seems to do everything the n95 can,without the hugeness or crap battery life...no wifi tho

Richf-make sure all apps are closed and wifi/bluetooth is off,hold down menu key to see open apps

Did you also go for the free/discounted home internet they usually offer?

You also dont have to part with your old phone there and then. They give you 7 days, and will refund via your bill if you dont. Handy if you need to grab stuff off it.

the N97 is hhhhhuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuggggggggeeeeeee and other than a very dodgy FM transmitter does sweet FA that my N96 doesn't. glad i didn't wait for one now, might be interested in a future revision of it when i'm up for a new phone, we'll see.
