I had a pretty good year, car wise:

Bought my first ever proper car (Octavia 20v turbo) in late December 2007 , discovered Briskoda , had to get the cambelt/waterpump done (£300) :(, got the mouse removed from the glovebox under warranty (the flap positioning motor) , fitted a Pipercross panel filter , bought 17" spider alloys and a new set of tyres , but didn't manage to sell the 16" wheels so spent a bit more than I expected :(, upgraded the brakes to the 312s cheaply , got a Koni STR.T suspension kit , had the old 17705/17545 error codes for ages :(, fitted a Forge DV which didn't fix the codes or limp mode :(, fitted a new N75 valve and fixed the codes and got full boost back , had to get tax, MOT and a service at the same time last month :(, but all in all the Octy's done me proud and I love it.

It looks great, it transports me, SWMBO and the boy in plenty of comfort, safely and speedily, and has a massive boot for all the baby stuff when we're going away. I'm totally hooked on Skoda's now.

The only major downer in 2008 was getting made redundant last month, but there's irons in the fire and I'm hoping to get something permanent soon and get the remap back on track, but obviously that's not a priority now. We shall see …

Spent an awfull lot on the Vrs, new tyres, MOT, service and extended warranty all by July. Had 2 "warranty issues" with the Vrs, ignition coil went pop and the washer jets went wibble. Took to Skoda main dealer for repair. I got charged £45 to have a diagnostic check as the RAC tech had not reset the fault codes and was charged £24 to have the washer jets replaced as they were "Not an item covered by warranty" :(

Had the camb belt and water pump done by IP in Canterbury, £250 ( saved £200 on a main dealer quote )

MRs Stigs Ferbi2 Tdi Sport purchased in July, no issues to report :P:thumbup:

2008 was a hectic year for me

In February I sold 02 1.9Tdi Toledo :( Luved My Toledo !!
