G88 discs

Featured Replies

Hi there

I recently bought a set of tarox G88 discs. I’ve heard wonderful things about these discs and I realise there is a bedding in period. It’s just that when I brake it sounds like an aeroplane flying past. I gather this is due to the grooves but will this quieten down as the discs bed in?

i beleve not matey :orb_no:

i had them on my mk2 20v golf and never changed there sound, you'll get use to them and soon ignore them :orb_cool:

fitted mine at the weekend with the fast road pads, and i havent noticed an increase of noise, but then my brakes were boned before i changed them so maybe i was used to it

I only noticed the noise under heavy braking!

Great once you get use to them

as long as they stop you fast its all good :)

I had them on all four on my old Octy vRS with Tarox fast road pads and the noise is caused by the grooved pattern on the discs, it will always be there, but together with Silkolene ProRace 2000 brake fluid they were fantastic in all weathers, best brakes I have ever had on any car.
