Have a look here at jblincs' pics with the spoiler (pictures 2,3,4 and 5). HTH :)

Ray.

Good question! the only thing I do not like is the "butt" of the new superb! have you gone into the cost of adding the spoiler?

Needs a DTM.

i got a very good deal on my spoiler which i purchased as part of the car deal from new. retro fit from my local dealer was £380 !!! I think i paid around £200 extra on the purchase price. (i guess they did it all at cost)

I got mine added for free luckily. Personally I think it balances the look of the rear end nicely. Crikey £380 retail to fit

Look's like I will not be getting it dealer fitted! cost is £100 to buy so should be able to get it fitted for another £100, I think it makes in better looking will not get mine till april anyway.

I have ordered the spoiler not fitted or painted. Does anyone know is it bolted to the car or just stuck.

It comes with a double sided sticky pad attached, well my one did anyway :)

Did you add anything else to it when putting it on the car.

Must be good stuff if just sticky pad holds it in place. I wanted to ensure that the boot door doesnt need to be accessed to bolt in the spoiler.

Sorry to repeat but I just want to confirm that the spoiler is just stuck on to the boot. Was there any prep required to the boot for the pads to stick. Its just that some have said they were charged hundreds of pounds to paint and install and it seems alot for just painting and sticking to the boot and no disassembly or drilling required.

its stuck on. i paid £200 ,at time of delivery, for supply + paint + fit

I think it finishes the car very nicely (and a nice colour car jcblincs has chosen aswell), will be adding to my Superb when I eventually get it, Skoda recommend a glue as well ( they sell it for £13 on there site I think).

I buy the spoiler and the front lip, but i havent it now, i post some pics as soon as possible

for the price, i have it for free ( aproximatively 1200€ paint and posed)

Went to my local Dealer and they told me £300 all in, takes 2 men to fit 1hour 15mins and paint of spoiler alone would be £70 (steel grey). showed me pictures of install and they basically clean with alcohol, pencil the fitment area, apply special glue and two people fit it, must allow 48 hours for glue to fully bond. must have a lot of tea breaks to take that long to fit.

Think the rear of the Superb is fugly. The rest of the car is nice but it does have a passing resemblence of a Hyundai Accent or something like that from the Far East.

I agree it is butt ugly and a shame really as the rest of it is so good looking.

£300-380 for that spoiler!

Get Skudmissile to knock you one up for much less.. :D

if you think the superb is ugly then what do you think to the really ugly cars....fiat multipla comes to mind and a whole host of others.

I reckon the spoiler does enhance the rear end and not one person I have shown the car to has commented on the rear end being "ugly"

I have to say i wasnt sold on the rear end either but waiting for my wifes octavia yesterday and looking at the Superb they have in the dealer its really growing on me

I guess its because its a new design, a few cars have similar back ends the Megane for example, as more and more cars look a little like this i expect we will get used to it

Not as butt ugly as the last Ford Granada!, Still think the spoiler finishes the car off, probably why Jcblincs viewers have liked his car! shame it was not standard.

Prime example of his craftmanship... :D

On a more serious note the skoda offering does seem a tad expensive for what you actually get...

All,

Went with the option of getting the spoiller fitted by dealer. (Mullhollands - Randalstown) And it was a brilliant decision and very professional finish and colour match. Its a Steel Grey Elegance and the spolier even though small makes a huge differance to the overall appearance. Others that have seen the car line the subtlety of the spoiler and all comment on it. Should be Std on the Elegance at least though.

I agree should be standard on Elegance and V6, option on SE:). As it is it's standard only on V6:thumbup: and Greenline:confused:.
