www.skoda.virt.cz :)

Nice....whats the little red car half way up.....looks a bit Matra-esque to me?

This one? I think it's a SAAB Sonnet, but don't know which mark if it is.

It looks like a Saab Sonnet Mk 3. The two-stroke SAAB engine in the Mk 2 was replaced by the four-stroke Ford one. The body is designed by Sergio Coggiola. The total production counts 8368 cars.

I feel all warm and fuzzy now after seeing all those and all the effort and love gone into them!

Think I might be tempted by something old at some point....

mmm.. some nice bits of metal there...

Great pics! Thanks

Yes, now you mention it, it is a Sonnet.....saw at couple at events last year....the Skoda alloys threw me a bit!

very nice, drool drool

is that a lancia twin cam in that felicia?

The white drophead with the flares? It's certainly a twinc, and I think the mill's Lancia or real Alfa.

The white drophead with the flares?

yeah tis a 60's felicia

How about i mention that it ISN'T a sonnet...and Rob was in fact correct to post up the picture under the alluded title of 'old skodas' ;)

Ps, seriously chaps, go find me a sonnet with a curved nose. its like you're not even trying!

Having now looked at some Sonnet pictures (and the alcohol has worn off!!!) I agree, its not a Sonnet. I reckon its an Estelle underneath all that sexy bodywork (or maybe an S series) by the wheel angles (and type).

Do you know? Does anyone?!

definatly an Estelle/Rapid, check out the door glass compared to the estelle next to it, I'd guess rapid myself due to the rear window...

Never before have I noticed the "Rapid'ness" of the doors but I do still believe it is an actual Skoda sports car prototype as opposed to a kit car of any description.

Some of these are absolutely stunning. Lovely to see people looking after these great trad Skodas in the Czech Rep:thumbup:

Hi all, red coupe is a Skoda 1100GT UVMV prototype, based upon S110R mechanicals, built in 1971 75HP rear engine. Covskoda

As covskoda said, he beat me to it

My mate has a Sonnet, that aint one.

Those engine bays are a bit cleaner than mine.

Covskoda got the answer for you ;) although as far as i was aware it was a 1970 car but then again, nobody seems to be that sure!

Covskoda is right. That coupè is a prototype that was made for shooting a czech horror movie called Upir z ferato. The car is also called Skoda Ferat. You can check on YouTube, there are a few scenes from that movie, pretty full of skodas.

Is this Jason Standing in his boxers ???

:D Only ever seen him on photos on here you understand :D

Hi all, if you watch the film "UPIR Z FERATO" on YOU TUBE you will see both the Ferat & 1100gt uvum side by side. The Ferat is an1981 revamp of the1971 Skoda 110 Supersport prototype, a little like a Lotus Europa, specially modified for the film, adding a large spoiler, louvre rear window & bank of spot lights. The red coupe appears to be a customised version of the original prototype now sporting alloys and later rear view mirrors. The SAAB school think that Skoda took their inspiration from the Sonnet 11 for the 1100GT , Covskoda
