Went to Allard Turbosports today to get my new front mount made for the Octy & was amazed at what they do, They can fabricate just about anything in the Intercooler line even going as far as combined intercooler & radiator, Extra large fuel tanks etc etc

Then lurking in the back of the workshop is a racing Golf Diesel as they specialise in tuning Diesels, Things have moved on a lot since the Allard racing cars of the 50's but they are still a family business with a wealth of knowledge

The Golf competes in the VW Cup Championship & puts out around 220bhp & ridiculous amounts of torque (& soot!!!).

From what I was told today I think the 220 is a tadge conservative, 240 was quoted

I believe they can turn the boost up, if required.

After todays little viewing at Allard should a 4x4 Diesel Octy appear then I might have to think hard but having spent more on the present Octy & its really fun to drive I guess the change would be a long way away
