Hi Guys n Girls,

Just thought i would say hi for the first time where your suppose to really

Just bought an Octavia 1.8Turbo Laurin & Klement(2001), only had it two weeks so no mods so far apart from an ally tax disc holder lol

Hope to be posting often, and hopefully gain some important info for me to upgrade this great motor

What's the engine code on your L&K? It's probably a drive by wire engine with huge potential for tuning ...

Thats something i will have to take a look at, right now am at work unfortunately(but good coz i work in IT so can come on here )

I do know that right now it stands @ 150Bhp, and as far as am aware its the same engine as what is in the VRS(with less mods obviously), but dont shout at me if not lol

I will find out though. On a sideline i cant seem to view any "Gallery" images, any ideas?

OK - two places to look - the service book, or if not, whip off the plastic engine cover and look for three letters stamped into the cylinder head at the end by the lifting eye.

Then look here for potential gains...

Hey, i checked the logbook lastnight and it looks good, coz ive just taken a look at the link you provided....

Engine no: AUMxxxxxxAUM

So am presuming this is the more tunable of the 1.8T engines :D
