Does OEM central armrest from Octavia I fits in fabia I ?

Just fitted an ARMSTER armrest in my Fabia 1 (2005/55) Classic. Need to request fitting geared to Mk1 Fabia. It looks very good in black and is quite flexible - flips up, extends out, adjusts up/down, fair size storage compartment etc. Flyer says it will take 40kg of weight but I wouldn't trust that. Easy to fit, just four screws takes ten minutes.

See Buy Car Accessories online including Armster Tailored Centre Arm Rest and Storage

I mail ordered mine at a cost of £77.31 including Vat and delivery, it arrived in two days. I would recommend it.

Norman - Can you supply some pics of that in the motor? Especially some of how it actually fits and secures to the car!

I want one - But only if it looks OEM!

Cheers in advance if you can!

This has to be THE mod i wished i'd done a long time ago..... I'm still tempted but having had the car for 3 years now i have started to think most mods aren't worth it now as i may not get full value for money etc.....

Cheers

Dave.

Thanks for replies. look realy nice :)

Maybe it's worth to try searching for OEM from fabia, or octavia, if it's reallys fits. If i fail to search, should order that armtester

Thanks BigDave!

But how does it fit? I take it thats not OEM! Is it a direct fit or a screw in? I refuse to glue or screw anything into the plastic! Might be a problem for me! :(

my parents just bought a corolla with an arm rest and my dad keeps rubbing it in my face :( might need to go for one of these

Thanks BigDave!

Indeed it will. It screws into the plastic where the cupholder is. But you can only see the screws if you put both seats all the way forward.

most of them needs to be screwed :( thats probably the worst thing which separate them from OEM armrests..

Id have to see it to judge it! Wouldnt mind a pic of the screws and a decent clean shot of the leather if you get a minute matey. Hopefully the leather matches my trim and i wont have to retrim!

I thought to fit the octavia armrest you had to cut a hole in the plastic trim, if my memory serves me, it didn't look all that great.

I'll see about taking some closeups of the screws and the 'leather'.

Thanks matey. Much appreciated.

Really want one . . . .But not keen on the screws and the plastic seems a different colour!

Petty, i know! But it has to match! :worried:

Ashame, looks awesome!

Hi,

Sorry to revive an old thread but, do you know if the material on the armrest can be removed or not as i'm going to be doing a mod that one of our fellow Briskodians has done by swapping the material for a vRS cloth??

Cheers,

John.

I've fitted a golf mark 4 arm rest.

£37 on eBay, looks completely OEM as it sits inside the actual cup holder (not round it like the above). All you have to do is secure with some self tappers from the underside.

And it's new cover:

Heres a pic of where the rest meets the console (not my cat but same setup)

I did look at getting that myself but it sounds more complicated to fit than the Armster one.

There's nothing complicated about it really. Just 4 self tapping screws, and it's half the price!

Hmm, may have to bite the bullet and give it a try and at least i know the cover on the Mk4 Golf armrest comes off. ;)

Someone called? Lol

That's the one.

Just hope mine turns out half as good as that looks. I've got the seat cover, just need the armrest now. :)

Apologies for digging into the archives

But does anyone know a company that would re upholster the tops of these arm rests?

Just been buying one but unfortunately there is a tear in the leather and I'd like to have it re done, I am assuming an auto leather upholster of some sort would be able to? Any recommendations?
