Welcome

A very big welcome Hicksy.

And I'm sure you'll enjoy your Skoda ownership.

I know you're trying to "behave" whilst running it in, but how do you compare the fabia vRS with the cupra, from both engine and interior / styling / quality, etc?

Oh and top choice of car too :D

Nice to have you aboard, Hicksy. :wavey:

Hicksy,

Welcome to Briskoda, glad you're enjoying your RS.

Which thief err sorry saleman from Sherlodge done the deal for you.

May see you flying around The Medway Towns.

PS Lets see if you get 115+ posts as you are probably male.

Welcome, My dealer told me not to go over 4000 rpm for 1000 mile, well not to much. The oil is also the new Castrol longlife which is the same as in the TT's which is good for 1000's of miles

Welcome to Briskoda.

Cheers for all the info!

Barry Crook was the helpful salesman at Sherlodge garage, prob won't see me much around the Medway area unless visiting family as I live on the coast, Sherlodge was the best offering me the best deal that was all!

I'm behaving myself very well at the mo' and it the RS seems to have the same overtaking ability as my old Cupra, my mates got a 25th Anniversary Mk 4 Golf with 150bhp and 235lb foot torque and I couldn't lose him in my Cupra all the way up to 120 (on a track obviously) so guessing as the RS has similar torque and weighs a lot less it'll be about the same as that?!

Miss my half leather and climate control, but then the RS has cruise and 2 trip computers which is handy, and cubby holes everywhere!! Seats are more comfortable and the clutch is as if it's not there, so it's definately easier to drive (especially as I'm mainly doing long distance).

Only thing I've got to get used to is having 5 doors instead of 3 and the difference in rear visibility.

Overall though I'm very impressed with the little beast!

Cheers, Hicksy

They are a great little car indeedy :)

Welcome to Briskoda and Skoda ownership

seems to be a trend at the mo,what with SEAT turning everything into a renault megane look a like, have loved every minute of my SEATS(2 of),but theres nothing in the range to compare to the room and power i have now in my octavia vrs.

hello hicksy ;)

Hello to everyone!!

Nothing compares like you said Jason, to the performance and price, and I must admit even though I think the Fabia is same size as Mk3 Ibiza it does feel that little bit bigger! Very nice car indeed, a very happy customer!

Yes I have a red Fabia!

Cheers, Hicksy
