  • Seems like a good thread to revive since the 'Filtering' one seems to have been closed. Maybe someone spat out their dummy, who knows.   Here is another Bikers are bad people type thread. http://b

And all fabia drivers are closet chav's .......... just waiting to be told how you used to have a 400bhp skyline next, drive 3 brazzillian miles a year and how you have ridden all types of bikes in the past etc etc ..................ad infinitum

Imagine how many threads there would be, if we were to post about 'arseh!e car drivers' pulling out on 'us' after coming back from a jaunt on the bike??

And to the OP, why do you not start new threads when you have a near miss with another car??

Ian:)

I imagine that's what most bike forums are full of no?

I don't have that many near-misses, I've learned to drive (relatively) defensively and so I'm never surprised by the stupid things other cars do around me. It was such a shock to the system in this case which is why I felt the need to seek either reassurance, justification or indeed condemnation and, silly me, I thought the CAR forum of which I'm a member wouldn't be a bad place to do it.

I'll take it to the gardening forums next time. :D

Watch out for marrow envy then;)

Oh it's all gone quiet over there :D:D:D:D:D:D:huep:

Hasn't it!

I am on many Bike forums and can honestly say no, not at all:confused:

Ian:)

Visor down is the worst bike forum I have ever been on. Full of absolute tw*ts on there (yes I'm a member) ;)

Why is it that motorbikes must overtake even when the traffic is running well and at the speed limit?:rotz:

Same reason car drivers do? It's just easier to do on a bike.

Why is it that motorbikes must overtake even when the traffic is running well and at the speed limit?:rotz:

for me its to give me the longest possible view of the road .

bricks manhole covers road kill pot holes mud etc , dont really catch your attention much in a car , but on a bike their potentially lethal.

next time you see a tractor trailing mud out of a field gate , think what thats gonna do to a bike , its all about observation .

Because we can? :D

Because we can? :D

And with ease :D

That is a really well reasoned argument and hats off to you for coming up with it.

As an alternative you could hang back a hundred metres or so from the car in front. But I do appreciate that that would be no fun ;)

And then there'll always be a BMW driver intent on getting around you...

Or a Fabia vrs driver. :D

Or a Fabia vrs driver. :D

And the last thing you'd want is to be stuck in a soot cloud on a bike :D

That is a really well reasoned argument and hats off to you for coming up with it.

that is a really well reasoned arguement and hats off to you for acknowledging it.

however , having a ton off metal 15 feet behind me piloted by the usual half asleep rep doesnt appeal very much either which is what generally happens.
