Real quick question on the Bluefin Remap's.

Are they as "quick and simple" to install as the website gives the impression?

Basically - are they idiot proof - not saying I'm an idiot....

Well I would just say you have to be very careful

read the manual very carefully and the bluefins on screen instructions

you also have to be patient with it

Only basic technical skill and knowledge required. Its not difficult but give yourself plenty of time to do it.

I did it right first time - just followed the instuctions.

You need to install Superchip software from the CD onto your PC to allow the Bluefin to send data via USB through your PC to a Superchip server on the internet. First it took the bluefin about 20 mins to "talk" to the car - never interrupt this dialogue - jusy wait till its finished and confirms with a message. Then connect Bluefin to your PC and run the software. Data is sent and the correct remap is sent back to the Bluefin which now holds the old and new maps. Reconnecting the Bluefin to the car allows the old map on the car to be overwritten. The two maps can be swapped any time with the Bluefin.

Read the instructions several times. If you are unsure - ring Superchips - there are very helpful.

I forgot to update the post. I remap my car since 10 July 09. And I'm very happy. No problem at all until now.
