New Octavia VRS Geneva Debut?

Featured Replies

Whats the address for that then - I tried www.skoda.cz but it's all trains, trams and no automobiles!

i think it is www.skoda-auto.cz

K

Pretty sure that's it, but i can't access it at the moment..

It prompts for a password - have to wait 'til later to play with the configurator.

Very strange, it's never done that before..

Darn Interweb - it'll never catch on I tell thee!

Having seen a couple of new Octavias "in the flesh" now I'm not convinced I'd buy one. It's just doesn't look as nice as the old model.

Yup it's front end doesn't look as good imo! But it's rear view looks good (like most females :agree: )

I very much like the new Octavia, particularly the interior - it's light years ahead of the current Octy. However my suspicion is that the new vRS will be about 17K, and rather underwhelming in the engine department (when considering what it'll be up against for the price).

Like the 240bhp Astra! Not sure what price that is going to be.

oh so much more than just a Bike.

someone did a tuned up Honda sp superbike (can't remember the company now but it will come to me) and that was 18k ish a few years ago.

Twas V&M who did it, used to run a BSBK team. Clocked it at 200mph+++

Nutters.

Why dont we be getting a 225bhp engine like dem spanishish fellas???

Have to be the Honda everytime for me,i understand the Ducati/Italian thing but dosen't float my boat like the Honda ethos for constant change and improvement.

everything i'm not,perhaps thats why!!!!

well its a couple of years away so gives me a bit of time to save up!!!!

and as already said its not just 'a bike' its a road going missle!!!

My local reckon the new RS would have the FSI Turbo and cost around

Talked to my dealer after he replaced my 18000 mile old, broken gearbox ,he said they are keeping the mark 1 vrs until the end of 2005 but will be selling it at the same price 26,500euros but with all the extras.See how the Irish are getting ripped off with car prices,a well it still great value.

blimey that is alot, thats around

Skoda are putting something interesting in the Geneva show but won't say what it is.Suggested some sort of prototype to celebrate 100 years.

Is the Tudor coming out to play again?Just wish they would show us the gawd damn new vRS :(

 No doubt that Skoda is really good value for money. Beats VW and Audi hands down when it comes to what you get for your money. The thing is that the 1.8l was already at 180+ bhp in Audi when the vRS came out. Currently the 2.0L TFSI is only at 200 bhp in both Audi and VW, no way would they let Skoda get more. Facts of life I'm afraid. :(

I don't especially need Skoda to make a 200+ bhp vRS. I can do that "myself", for less money, with warranty maintained.

I'd rather have them spend the (my) money on proper traction, i.e. AWD.

And would you want your Skoda to outprice itself anyway? Those additional horses don't come for nothing.
