Briskoda Scottish Region Camping Trip idea

Cracking pics Mike, I had a fantastic time on the camping trip, the drives were ace and even through we were lost some of the cars on the Sunday drive Hannah stil managed to find a wee B road for people to enjoy on the way to Jedburgh, and yes I picked up a nail in my tyre, so had to get that patched!

I will post some of my pics up later tonight when I nip to my parents to upload them.

I'm feeling quite rough at the moment, my insides feel like shutting down already!

Cheers

:D

Sorry I couldn't make it at all in the end, but I did get up the Titan Crane in Clydebank (Open Fri thro Mon from now until October if anyone else is interested in that sort of thing), and to catch up properly with several other groups of friends.

Alas poor melon I knew him well: (can't remember the appearance of the melon and it didn't survive the night  )

The drive on the Sunday didn't quite go to plan, partly my fault for going the wrong way (too much drink the night before :D) so not many pictures but after a detour and some new arrangements the Scottish contingent managed to meet up again for a quick last photoshoot:

Liking the pics Davy, no more jack incidents I trust? That tool looks handy for wheel changing

And I observed to see where the proper jacking points are just incase i need jack car up when out myself if need be. But i prob won't and would just call the breakdown service but useful to know.

Well it's taken me most of the evening to upload my pics, Photobucket's been astoundingly slow today!

Part 3: Repairing a gazebo: Briskoda style

I never saw the state of the gazebo til I looked at the above pictures today ... anyway, while some people went off into town to get tea, those that stayed behind got into repairing what was left of it:

Some of the uprights broke. We were able to fix them by fashioning new parts out of locally sourced timber ....

IMG_1370.jpg

.... and a good few miles of masking tape

IMG_1372.jpg

IMG_1374.jpg

while Dave supervised the operation

IMG_1373.jpg

Good as new!

IMG_1376.jpg

Part 4 - Surreal melon-related incident

No-one knew the exact origin of the melon, except that it was discovered in Alex's Felicia on Saturday morning ....

IMG_1400.jpg

IMG_1405.jpg

“The Broskodians in the gazebo looked from Davy to melon, and from melon to Davy, and from Davy to melon again; but already it was impossible to say which was which."

IMG_1406.jpg

Cheers!
