Bit Fell off me door

Featured Replies

I shut my passenger door the other day and the blanking plate next to the handle (has the elecy window controls ondrivers side) fell off into the foot well. I have tried putting it back on but it just falls straight back out again.

I have contacted my dealer especially with the car only being 1month old and they have said they will order one in and let me know when it gets there.

Do you know if this will be covered by the warranty?? I hope so

the same with me the only issue I have had except the tail gate had a rattle. on the blanking plate I just lightly bendt the clicp to stick out more and clipped it back into place all sorted

We had the same problem as well - but we got it back into place OK

I have tried bending the clip but its just not holding, my car has an abundance of rattles including a really annoying one from the drivers side door

It will be covered by your warranty no worries, fret not :)

lol 'bit fell off the door'

its a little better than the older skodas i guess....'the door fell off the car' ;)

I had that happen on my previous Fabia twice. The first time I put it back on without any problems. The second time my dad put it back on, at which point it fell into the door

Dealer ordered me a new one and sent it to me in the post in a normal envelope! Luckily it held up to the pressures of the Royal Mail and clicked into place perfectly. Didn't come out again in the following 9 or 10 months I had the car.

In my experience, minor trim problems are delat with under warranty without any fuss at all, assuming you have a decent dealer :)

yup happened to my mums... new one orderd under warrenty

is it always the passenger side one that falls off?

I have a feeling that the mirror mechanism helps to hold the driver side one in, but I could be wrong on that.

Has anyone had the trim fall off on a door with a mirror control mechanism (manual or electric)?

My passenger side one fell off too.

Took a few attempts to get it back on - had to push quite hard but it's still there now.

Happened to me - normally when I have given a lift to a door slamming tool.
