Worth getting a VRS interior?

Featured Replies

Hi, i am currently looking at getting a standard vrs interior (black and white cloth) to replace my standard fabia interior, which is pretty nasty. I have found an interior that is in good condition for £100 but is missing two of the doorcards. Just looking for a few opinions on if its worth getting this. The other good point is the 3 point seatbelt on the rear middle that my standard fabia doesnt have atm. This is the only interior option for me really, as im tight on cash and a retrim or leather retrim would be way too much and i cant find a genuine full leather vrs interior, let alone a price for one.

All opinions welcome :D

"Worth getting a VRS interior?"

No.

It's just as nasty as the standard one with harder to clean seats.

Standard vRS interior is notorious hard to clean and prone to quite bad fraying/fuzzying (if that's even a word?!).

A waste of your money.

looks like this :)

The vRS seats are much more "hugging" though, so if you get a cheap set they could be retrimmed in a darker colour and should last OK. :)

I'm on the hunt for a front pair at the moment. Eyeing up a set in Swansea.

i think i must have had a fat previous owner or i need to put on weight then because i despise my seats!!

really crap bolsters that are too soft! doesn't "hug" at all when i go round corners and on long journeys i get back ache!! and i've tried to adjust the seats to all angles and how far the seats away from me and what not but still dont find them comfy!!

and there a complete **** to clean!!

sat in Jabba Lukes Golf edition 30 seats and they are defo seats i'd love!! solid bolsters that really pull you into the seat and even when caning it round the ring i didn't feel uncomfortable once!!

*rant over* sorry but recently they've really been annoying me and i had to vent somewhere haha

Doesnt look like theres any good options for replacing my furbys seats then really

I'd opt for the sport. Same seats as the vrs and with easier to keep clean material.

Polo GTI seats are gorgeous - and look like they offer more lumbar support.

If I didn't have the SE's leather, I'd be hunting a set down...

ive got my vrs seats for 150quid. i know they are a bugger to clean but its transformed my interior. ive got an elegance tdi. ive changed my front and back bumpers to vrs ones. my dads got a real vrs and some times we get confused which is which!!!

The Golf GTI mk5 seats cost SO much though. Every time I find a set on Ebay they go for £500 odd. I only want the two front seats and it seems all sales include back seats & door cards which are N/A to me.

Knackered vrs seats + leather retrim = solution (albeit expensive) ;)

with a leather retrim have people found that it stiffens up the bolsters?? or is it still quite soft?

It's a bit stiffer but the problem is you slide a bit if you're driving enthusiastically :D

i am trying to find some nice octavia seats..... and before people go on about making them fit. There is a way and I ahve already seen it done

So can you fit a 9n interior into a Mk1 Fabia? and do Mk4 and 5 seats fit as well? Looking at doing something with my VRs as pale grey and kids don't mix!

polo 9n/9n3 seats will fit. my polo has the vrs seats but in a bit better colour.

mine are easy to clean too:

you can get ANY seats and you can just cut your roller frame off and weld it to a new seat.

hope that helps

Buy a vRS?

Buy a vRS?

isn't that like suggesting someone buys a Cupra instead of remapping their vRS..?
