C.J.

Get to you desktop, right click on it. > Properties.

Find the settings tab.

You should see a screen resolution slider. This will possibly be at hte left hand side with 800x600 underneath. If possible, slide to the right till it says 1024x768. Click OK.

You might get a flicker of the screen and a do wish to accept, you do.

If you don't or can't slide the slider over, your monitor or video card is not capable of that resolution. Most of the internet is now designed for 1024 and up, so not only will this site appear better, but a lot of others.

The left navigation does impact on the 800 res, the forums on there own render okay in 800 mode, but the side bar impacts this.

Let me know how that goes.

All okay so far?

Was not looking forward to reading this lunch time...

...will crack on with phase II then :D

OK it must be me cos no-one else has mentioned it. On this new site, i have to scroll left and right to get everything in. I used to be able to read everything without doing that. Have I got to change something on my computer? (Perhaps if i buy a widescreen monitor!!??)

Go to post 54 plumsol. Follow Colin's directions.

Just checked mine and it's running at 1024x768. Seems ok now...until someone posts a piccy on here, then it's too small and a manual widening has to be done I presume.

Sorry-still not very good at navigating-hadn't spotted the other posts about this. Have followed Colin's instructions but now I need to go to Specsavers to get some glasses cos everythings gone small even though i've chosen large font and large icons (for the over 50's) It was so much easier in Large Print!

Thanx for help

PS. I've even got a prescription windscreen

just change from 600x800 1024x768

cures my problem ,but i can't read anything now :)best get some specs i think

For you chaps with size, you can set windows to use large fonts. Your browsers should render the text up in size...if I do it here, the word forums fills my screen and I'm on a much much higher resolution.

Which browsers are you using?

Internet Explorer...just noticed it's not rendering...most odd. give me a day or so I'll fix her up.

Whats this 'search' panel for Col'?

The one under the global thing?

Tapped in tyres yesterday, and the national Briskoda meet came up top of the list!

C.J.

I suspect it simply puts the most recent use of the word you search for at the top of the list :)

Oh I give up..too complicated for me.Any chance of a hand written numptys manual please!

Had some freeby learn 'how to use an electric shed manual' posted to me the other day...might have written it myself in fact..fantastic..gonna subscribe to it!

Wasn't one of you lot was it! :D
