AWD on VRS

Folding mirrors

Flappy paddles

R36 engine

Gas Struts for Bonnet.

Piano Black Dash plates and Dash/door trim, or gloss woods, instead of horrible silver paint.

Self levelling rear suspension on Combi

More sound deadening in body panels and better isolation of road noise especially rear wheels.

More aircon vents in rear of car with independant controls

Auto folding wing mirrors with "dip to kerb" button for parking.

Damped Grab handles,

Folding mirrors

Flappy paddles

the fl dsg vrs models already come equipped with flappy paddles.

Auto folding wing mirrors with "dip to kerb" button for parking.

auto folding & dipping wing mirrors is already available in some countries with the fl vRS.

we unfortunately don't get that option here in oz.

however this also requires electric seats, as the memory for this also stores the memory for the wing mirrors when they're returned from folded/dipped positions.

As standard fit

Bi Xenons

Curtain Airbags

DAB Radio (suprised this hasn't turned up on previous listings)

Bluetooth

There are plenty of options I'd like to see.

And of course I'd also love to see loads of things become "standard".

But I also appreciate that at the price level of the Octy a lot of equipment does need to remain an option.

I'd love for leather and Xenons to be standard on the vRS.

But I'm under no illusion that wouldn't add around £1500 to the base price :)

Gas struts and soundproufing on the bonnet as standard

Autofolding mirrors As standard

Bluetooth as standard

Sparewheel as standard

I don't think this is alot to ask from a £21000 vrs is it?

Cheaper sat-nav option

Anthercite wheels as option on vrs :)

Recaro seats (an option of course)

Upgrade carpet and boot fittings (grey furry cardboard is not strong enough)

Option to mount spare wheel on tailgate of Combi (like a land rover)

8. ability to mix and match ANY options on to any core car.

After the last VW AGM, speech by the Managing Director that is all that Skoda will be if the idea gets the green light , as VW were complaining that people dont percieve VW as being value for money, & are moving to Skoda.

So we could have Skoda brochures with just a Model & Engine size choice with only the mandatory safety features built into the car , with everything else being optional, no more S / SE / L&K etc. You choose your model, & engine then spec your own car, interior, colour, etc.

Gas Struts

Auto Boot Opening

Twin Turbo CR

Range of six types of alloys - all at zero cost options - Like my A3 had

Bluetooth

MFSW

MDI

LED Interior Lights

Parking Sensors - Rear

Choice of Seat coverings for free - again - like my A3 had

Lower - has to be lower

4wd at a cost option

Gas struts and soundproufing on the bonnet as standard

Autofolding mirrors As standard

Bluetooth as standard

Sparewheel as standard

Lack of standard spare wheel is the one thing that really p****s me off about current Skoda specs. Pretty much anything else I can manage without but I wouldn't drive a car for any distance without a proper spare wheel. Can of foam & pump is a really stupid idea.

Its not like you need the room in the boot of an octy is it? Its crazy to rip people off £75 to buy "Standard equipment"

Folding external mirrors would be a nice standard piece of kit on the L&K 7 vRS models & options on the others.

Better sound proofing for course road surfaces.

Better design / location for the stock speakers. Bolero is good speakers / location are not up to the job.

More responsive breaks / less pedal travel on 1.8 TSI

Design of boot that doesn't dump water on opening.

Bonnet sound insulation pad as standard.

Columbus as a cheaper option on top spec cars.

That's it. It's a great car spoilt by a few omissions.

Here in Portugal most of the stuff you ask for are standart on my elegance model.

Like I said on another post about water going into boot, mine does not and never did. I do have the chrome bar at the bottom of the trunk

it may be because of this.

One thing I would like to have/see is other side mirror with auto-dimming function ( only drivers side and interior do this)

Another thing would be, couldn´t afford the DGS, would be a 6 speed gearbox for the 1.6 TDI engine.

I would also have liked to see the skoda options like xenon, front parking sensors, gps columbus ( amudsen gps, people here aren´t very happy with)

3 spoke steering wheel instead of 4, cheaper than they are.

Hillhold, I´m sure this could be done via vcds :wonder:

An exciting illuminated starter button (like Aston Martin)... we all need a bit fun now and then :D

Dip-galvanised bodywork - life is not just for fun :D

Check out other manufacturers, Spare Wheel is not "Standard Equipment" for a lot of cars these days....

4x4 version of vRS estate

Heated windscreen

folding door mirrors

Xenons as standard

Gas struts on bonnet - I have these on a 95 Landcruiser 80 series best 4x4 ever built.

Metallic paint standard

I'm about to take delivery of my new vRS :-) and the only things I'd change (being mindful of the Skoda badge being the value end of the VAG empire) are:

The Xenon option being full bi-xenon (if it was then I'd have bought it).

Silver roof lining (as said earlier it is a bit drab in there).

Better soundproofing from road noise.

Steering wheel radio controls & bluetooth on manuals with maxi-dot. (Why this is now DSG only baffles me).

Minor - sunset glass could be just a little darker; but not too much for fear of looking like an undertaker! Don't care about the bonnet gas struts tho' - less to go wrong in later life.

I'd like to see them put more effort into making the engines greener, or at least get the CO2 figures down and the MPG figures up, especially in the more performance models. More stop start type technology is needed.

But bonet gas struts, electric folding mirrors, 3 spoke MFSW on non DSG, bi xenons, keyless entry/start and probably some other stuff too but I can't bring anything else to mind! :smirk:

When I traded my vrs ii for vrs fl i took the spare with me. So if anyone buys a blue octy vrs ii with a foam kit its because I decided being ripped off for a spare wheel wasn't fair.:D
