We'll need to keep a eye out and see if it's put back on the road!

Yep.

I can always sell them a clutch ! :D

I'd have given £1500 for it, bearing in mind you'd have to spend a grand painting it due to the paint stripper and that's befroe you get into replacing things like the rear lights that were damaged by it. Would have made a nice car for my mates missus as they both love my one.

Nevermind . . . there is an 07 plate on there with heated seats at the mo so will keep an eye on that one for them.

Dunno if this has already been asked but its a long thread.

Ignoring the mechanical issues for a second, is there anything to stop a new owner going oh well, **** it. and just brushing some hammerite over the bad bits and away he goes?

Any implications?

Nothing stopping them at all...

I had considered buying it back and wrapping it, but changed my mind.

Nope , none at all.

It would actually make quite a good Rat.

Agreed. Or you could turn it into some sort of graffiti car - go mental!

A bump for an old thread but I was in Ramsbottom last night (the place where this car spent most of its life) and I saw a black Fabia vRS in the supermarket car park.

The first five characters of the reg plate were MA53 G - the same as this one.

It was like the automotive version of seeing a ghost!

:D

Nice one. Would've been a double take seeing that !

Wonder if mine/Cols will re appear on the boards, it's had it tax renewed, so someones got it !! :D

I can confirm that MA53 GM* is currently taxed and insured, therefore back on the road. If someone did a HPI check then it would come back as a CAT D write off I guess. It is suprisingly common for cars with damage like this to be repaired and end up back on the road.
