Pictures that I've promised people for ages...

Featured Replies

OK, apologies for my delay:

First up, my Origin B2 Installation:

The GPS antenna is squashed between the dash and the windscreen, underneath the little plastic "parking ticket" clip.

All the wires are hidden down the back and side of the dash.

The Laser sensor thingy is up behind my rearview mirror, but I'm planning on weatherproofing it and sticking it behind my lower grille under the numberplate.

Quite tidy IMHO.

Oh, and here are my Milotec Handle Covers...

Proper Bling and suit the silver car very well IMHO. Cheaper than getting the handles painted (professionally) and give it a bit of something along the sides of the car. I've tried painting things before... I'm crap at it. Far too impatient!

Anyway, I hope those have satisfied you lol.

Well satified. :P

What do you think of the 'solo' being in the same place to save me having the ariel thingy under the window.

I got mine from a place in Manchester:

Call them and say you know of a few people who got them for

How good is the Origin B2? I don't know too much about these things but i'm learning as my Dad has just been issued a road angel through work. It seems to work quite well and is very good for stopping you forgetting about cameras you should remeber are there on the way home. Just a little sceptical how well it works with Mobile police laser traps.

Don't know how the road angel compares to the Origin B2

issued one through work, lucky!

Not sure about the lazar part mine has never gone off! Not sure if the others do it but the b2 tells you your current speed and the speed of the location where the camera is.

trouble is with laser when it goes off you have been got :( tbh laser is no use what so ever they aim for a flat bit of body work (numberplate) so the laser head is better off there but still no use unless you catch something bouncing off another car

better to get a jammer with it too

Or don't speed ;):D

but if you get a jammer you better have an electric garage door

I assume there must be quite a bit of laser scatter but if there's no one in front of you your bugg***d.

Mine has only gone off once and I could not see why it did.

PS It reminds you to watch your speed - mine is also set to warn me if I reach 80 mph.

80, it would be going off all the time in a fabia!

80, it would be going off all the time in a fabia!

As the speedo seems to be about 4 mph out I can reach 84 before it goes off ! And there is a convenient mute button on the box !

Mine beeps when I get to 90.

It only beeps the once though mwhahahahaha

Looking through the old threads and spotted this little beauty, nice door handles wonder what they'd look like on a red vRS, although I know you've taken off your grey "shopping trolley protectors" so they might not look all that with them still gleaming grey :thumbdwn:

must get round to colour coding them

Hicksy :D

ps... nice work on the B2, I've mine a week and still haven't got round to fixing it up... yes i am a LOSER :o

Hehe

Thanks for the comments.

I believe Rooboy has the handles on his Red vRS... Maybe do a search for his name and handles or something...

Get your B2 fitted this weekend! It doesn't take long (well, unless you properly hardwire it in. Me, I just got a ciggy lighter extension lead and routed it from the ciggy lighter down the transmission tunnel cover under the dash.

Means I can switch it on and off with the switch on top of the power lead coming out of the cigar lighter.

Nice, thannks. Was actually wanting to maybe hard wire it in? know anything about that?

:D
