Symphony radio safe code instructions

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have had to disconnect the battery today and on reconnecting I have lost the radio code. I have all my books with lots of numbers in them regarding the radio, so am confident I have the right code.

What do i do with the numbers?!?! I have figured out that the 1234 radio buttons control the code numbers, but do i have to press anything when the code is in!?!

Thanks very much,

Rebecca

Switch off the stereo, Then the ignition. Turn on the Ignition then the stereo, The car and stereo communicate with each other.

Yup, done that - still get the

'safe'

then

'1000'

on the screen

In the front of the manual it has the following codes/ numbers

SKZAZ9F 4859432

1400

Now my guess is the 1400 is the code!?!? but when i put it in the radio nothing happens :o(

Thanks for your help - any other ideas?

If for some reason the car's forgotten the radio's code, use the buttons 1-4 to enter each digit, then press and hold the > button until it beeps.

Genius! Job done.

Thank you kindly :o)

Switch off the stereo, Then the ignition. Turn on the Ignition then the stereo, The car and stereo communicate with each other.

Only if it's a newer model Fabia with the Convenience System Coding

Instructions as follows:

Use the Station buttons to enter the code number

Briefly press station button 1 to cycle through the numbers for the first digit of the code.

Do the same with station button 2 for the second digit and button 3 for the third digit, button 4 for the fourth

Then press the double arrow left or right on the station search rocker (<< or >>)for more than 2 seconds

The radio should then become operational

If you get the code wrong you can re-enter it afetr a waiting period but this extends with each repeated failure from 10 seconds to 24hrs!

Doh too slow! (but only by a minute!)

What if you cannot find your code altogether - guess it's a call to Skoda Customer Service? Do you reckon they would provide it free?

Answer: Have an amazing wife who finds the code for you (after you did not put it where it should be!)

You need to go to a dealer, a phone call is not sufficient. Skoda CZ will require proof of ownership, so V5C will be needed. Dealer then hooks up car to computer and code request is sent online to Skoda CZ, if the VIN and Serial number of the headunit match the code is sent back to the car and coded to the ECU allowing the convienience function to work its magic and send the code to the radio. The dealer no longer sees the code, as its all done online.

OR

use a third party to recode the headunit to a known code, eg. DNDServices http://www.dndservices.co.uk/skoda-symphony.html

Hello does someone know the code for this radio Skz2z3c1612238

very much appreciated if someone does

HI, You need to get the code either from the dealer or a third party online company specializing in radio codes.  Have a look on ebay for a cheap one, sorry can't recommend one as I have never needed to use. Once you have the code write it down in the back of the handbook and keep safe. Many write it on the radio itself, although that defeats the object of  having it in the first place.

Hello could any one send to me the code for the following serial no

SKZAZ7G4424065

E-mail: [email protected]

Regards

...I have seen on youtube, owners removing the unit (This was a Dance unit but I would assume others will be similar), Open up the unit and the number is located somewhere inside. You may have to remove an internal plug or something, too but if the dealer will not help or wants to charge and you know your way around a bit of dismantling....
