Do you need a guinea pig, Ben ? :)

I have an MFD3 here that a customer left with me.. it has some coding "issues" but once I've sorted them and got it working I should be able to confirm that it does work (it is in the literature from Dension, there's a picture of it working).

Unless you fancy a trip over this evening? ;)

Ben - just to confirm, there are separate BAP and non-BAP variants?

I believe so, that's how it was laid out to me. Although they are the same price.

Was the mount you had in your car last night the Denison active mount pictured on their site? (pretty sure it was)

Yes and I am looking into damageless brackets to offer as a package

I would be interested in one of these for my Superb, have they fixed their little iPhone3G charging glitch now on the 300's?

Freedom Discount ..... Group Buy........... price match :)

My 3GS charges just fine although does still ask to go to flight mode when you connect up.

As for the Freedom discount, watch this space ;)

Is the difference between the 100 and the 300 just the lack of USB inputs?

Yes, the 100 has the same functionality and the Aux in, but the 300 adds the USB hard disc/flash drive connection.

well get off the bloody internets and work out some prices :)

Top work by the way mate

You don't have to lose the changer no, it can be retained with an add on retention kit from Dension that won't break the bank.

i'm in if there is a group by, i under stand you can have a bluetooth kit as well ,i have a mfd 2 apart from the text not showing this should be ok ?.

I could well be interested in a group buy on the 300 if the price is right.. Do you know what the max supported USB flash drive size is? I had a quick read of Dension: Gateway 300 but couldn't find it?

The Dension Bluetooth unit is only for the Gateway 500 which unfortunately isn't compatible with our cars.

I don't know what the limit is but it reads my 160Gb hard disc no problem, so you won't have any issues with flash drives

I would be interested too, is my system compatible?

Stream mp3 and MaxiDot - 2008 build vRS, reg Jan 09 but pre-09 interior.

Oh Bugger

I need either a GW16VW8 or a GW33VW8 for my Superb.

Any chance of these being added to the GB and cross posting this to the Superb / Mk1 Octy / Fabia Section ..........

;):D

Tony, don't worry mate I'm sure I can add that one in

Two questions -

1) Does the GW16VC1 work with the RNS510 or only the GW16V21?

2) I've got various Dension Dock Cables/Cradles from my old IceLink Plus, will these work or do I need another one?

3) Any news of any pics of it working with the RNS510 yet?

Sorry - I make that three questions not two!

The VC1 module (as demonstrated at the top of the thread) does not integrate with the RNS510/MFD3, I have tested it. I have a V21 being delivered today for clarification of it's functions and I'll be able to post more up later.

As for your old dock cables, I am not sure to be honest. I know the Gateway units have been updated a lot over the last few months so it's possible that they won't work.

IP34CR9 - iPod Dock Cable for Gateway 100 or Gateway 300 - MSRP £29.99 - Group Buy price £25.49 saving £4.50

IPO4DC9 - Active Dock Cradle for Gateway 100 or Gateway 300 - MSRP £29.99 - Group Buy price £25.49 saving £4.50

Tad confused over these :o

As on the Dension website the Part no. IP34CR9 is the Active Cradle

and the Part no. IPO4DC9 is the Dock Cable

Do they BOTH charge up the ipod ( mine is a Nano 3rd gen and SWMBO has a nano 4th gen)

Thanks

Nothing to be too confused about.. I just got the part numbers the wrong way around!

Yes, they both charge the iPod.

So tempting....must resist....

Where did you mount the unit to make USB drive access 'easy'?

Cable @ £49.99 seems steep for what it is :(

I put the USB lead through into the little cubby hole in the dashboard near the driver's knee, there is a USB extension lead supplied. The unit is tucked down into the trim at the back of the radio.

The only £49.99 item is the CD changer retention kit, is that what you're referring to?

Will the Gateway 300 Kit work with a early 2005 Octavia Elegance

I have maxi-dot, but miss the ipod interface my last car had :-(

Hi

have you got any images of what the setup and display looks like on a balero system

I am thinking probably just need the 100 version if I just wanted to connects iPhone 3g but wanted to see what the actual hu looks like

thanks
