Is it me, or is Mr Rooney just jumping out of the car to deliver a pizza :)

"I won't tell you again, I didn't order any pizza"

Actually, I don't believe in parking fines. Instead the wardens should be allowed to dent the offending cars

better deterrent to some of those ignorant ******** than a £30 fine

I think a 'miss printed' plate isn't too bad so long as its readable (I.E not in stupid font thats tricky to read).

Surely a space in the wrong place isn't the end of the world? Sticking a screw in the letter to alter it is as bad as dodgy font.

German/Pressed plates however are far worse.

When i was looking to get my 'cherished plate' a friend of mine suggested i get them in the German/Pressed style. I personaly think they look pants, and said 'no way' but his way of thinking was...

'The cops won't pull it over as they will think its a foreign car, and they can't be arsed with the paperwork...' He had no reply when i pointed out the difference between Right hand drive cars in the UK, and left hand drive cars in Germany.

The same person recently failed an MOT..... on number plates!

I have a set of 'show plates' for photos etc, and proper plates for road legal use, and as i have a clean licence and no desire to change that, having a cherished plate in the right format is fine with me.

The way it works is....

owner/driver gets a £60 ticket and told to change it, and the issuing officer sends a report to DVLA.

DVLA write to the owner warning them regarding the misrepresentation

Owner gets caught again, gets another ticket and the issuing officer sends a report to DVLA. This time DVLA write to the owner telling them that unless they change the plate and send photographic proof back to DVLA, then they will withdraw the plate

If the person gets caught again, or doesn't comply with the DVLA request, then the plate gets taken off them.

So it's quite a lengthy process and entirely dependent on the issuing officer having the time/inclination to fill in the form and send it to DVLA...

I've not had one removed yet, although I have caught a few people more than once...

So could us Briskodians report offending number plates to the authorities, and would they do anything? I'm thinking maybe a central number we could send mobile phone photos to... Charge them all £60 and boost the coffers of the country.

Nope. Has to be a Policemanofficer, and the photo has to accompany a copy of the fixed penalty notice...

Got a few more over the last few days - will upload soon:D

Wasn't that what I'd just said ?

Let's think..........

1) They are all driving black cars

2) They are nearly all driving Bentleys

3) If you added all their brain cells together they would still add up to a number less than 2

.........am I close ? :D

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

This is soo funny

i personally think uve got too much time on your hands if you can go round dobbing people in whos got a gap on there plate where they shunt av. its pathetic :thumbdwn: theres alot more things in the world to moan n be worried about then a poxy space on a plate or a different font

Thank you for that worthwhile contribution.

I've also got so much time on my hands, having also been to school and learned English, that I've been able to highlight all the grammatical errors in your post.

Having said that, lots of people actually get 'to' and 'too' mixed up, but you got that one right.

Next you'll be saying that people who steal property less than a tenner should never be prosecuted, as it's so trivial - where would it end if you don't have black and white boundaries ?

Wasn't that what I'd just said ?

No, I embellished your suggestion and suggested a caption competition.

hth :P

Never mind the missing double space in the middle, the illegal font or the illegal carbon fibre effect text; somebody stuck a bleeding skoda badge on it

It's not so much the misspelling, it's the fact that it is very hard to decipher what you are trying to say.

Its probably been covered on here somewhere before, But text speak on a forum is just plain lazy and makes you look a bit dumb.

The English language is slowly dying... :thumbdwn:
