Another Kiwi first time Skoda owner

Featured Replies

Hi All - finally managed to join the Skoda ranks... nearly did about 5years ago with a Fabia VRS but decided it was too small, but now I've got a new(!) ex-demonstrator Octavia VRS...

So far had it 6 days and clocked up 800kms on top of the 1490kms it had on it when I picked it up (and I put 300kms of the 1490 on it across the 2 times I test drove it)!

So... its a 2008 (non-facelift model) Black Magic 6speed manual petrol and it wipes the floor over my old holden commodore wagon.

Spec: rain sensing wipers, zenon's, front and rear parking sensors, 18" Zenith Alloys, Dual Climate, heated leather seats (which have been verry nice the last week) and I got the dealer to add tints and a towbar.

Haven't really had time to do anything to it yet, first on the list is fitting Nokia bluetooth carkit (CK-7W), but thats waiting for my Brodit mount fitting and the adaptor cable to let me plug in the Nokia kit to the wiring loom to arrive from the UK. Finally found time to fit the Nokia microphone to the OEM microphone location earlier today - surprisingly easy, although need to wait a bit longer to find out how well it works up there. Already found the info on Briskoda of use for this and have taken some pics of what I've done so far and will add to it as I go...
