Featured Replies

Just checked my oil on me new fabia, 3000 miles on the clok after 2 months. and I'm showing just below the minimum oil level on the dip stick.

1. Is this normal?

2. Is there any where better to get the oil than skoda at

You need a spec VW 505 01 multigrade high lubricity oil. Options include:

VAG-branded 505 01 505 00 High Lubricity Engine Oil - G 052 167 A2

Fuchs Titan Supersyn SL PD SAE 5W-40 (fully synthetic)

Millers XFE-PD SAE 5W-40 (semi-synthetic)

Fuchs is available by mail order - search the forums for the source. Other members may be able to advise where to buy Millers.

mines exactly the same, 3300 miles and it was just below the hashed area on the dip stick.... I got the liquid gold from my dealer, it took half a litre to get back to the top of the hashed area.... hopefully it`ll settle down now...

Nope, I would still check, because mine was still using even when approaching the 10k mark. It doesnt seem to be using much now though.

That dealer really is a joke IMO.

Ask the dealer to order you part number G 052 167 A2 and see what happens. :(
