Going back to the 2nd or 3rd page of this thread, I was questioning if a true Stage 1 can produce in excess of 260 bhp as shown on the graphs back there. As I said then, anyone coming on to the forum talking about 250 bhp because that is what the mapping company promotes gets slapped down.

...and the map always seems to be a Revo making me conclude that it is an aggressive 'Stage 1' that can utilise the HPFP.

However, I put 'Stage 1' in inverted commas because, to my understanding, a Stage 1 that needs additional hardware is not a Stage 1 by definition

thats why i called it stage 1+ as it has additional hardware

Sorry Tom, but the fuel pump cannot give you any gain whatsoever by just fitting it. All the pump does is offer more fuel up for the taking by maintaining the rail pressure under high load/low engine speed situations, it doesn't actually have any effect on the fuelling whatsoever.

The only time it could possibly help you is if any map (be it "Stage 1" or "Stage 15") is requesting more fuel than the original fuel pump can deliver at a given engine speed.
