  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

I worked from home yesterday so didn't even open the garage! I assume it's still in there :D

Drove it 12 foot and parked it for another week. Still using the traffic buster as the weather is still warm :)

Had the rear engine mount replaced, and also the front silencer because the engine's movement had snapped the mounting bracket. Had a pleasant drive home without the clunks I'd become used to :)

Its worth doin whilst we still can :D

I actually did do something to it after all today.

The last of my components arrived in the post today so finished the turning lamps off.

I fitted rear courtesy lights to my Octavia, with a considerable amount of valuable help courtesy of the "how to" on your website Rob

I've been to Manchester Airport and back. Oh the excitement! :woot:

;)

Screwed the Subwoofer back into its enclosure after surviving 3 years before it fell out using the smallest screws ever!

Hopefully these ones wont move given the length and girth of the thread!

The Skoda, oh, hang on, they're all Skodas

The Octavia, oh dash, they're all Octavias

I drove mine 1050km this weekend to take a mate up North to Gisborne to pick up his ute.

Awesome drive, great roads with lots of twists and turns and mountains.

4:30am start, 750km the first day and the last bit after a sleep!

Pics will follow :D

Gained two sets of windscreen chips from cars lobbing small boulders my way, and a chip down to the metal on the bonnet :(

Ah well it's meant for driving and this weekend reminded me of that!

I decided I want less body roll, and I don't really need more power but I want it!!

Edit:

31mpg the first day and we were not hanging around on those up and down twisties. It was 21-25 degrees too.

34mpg the second day - it was cooler and roads were busier and flatter.

I washed mine for the first time in more than 2 months.

Today: Nothing

Yesterday: Went for a really good drive from Glasgow along the coast past Helensburgh, Rhu and Faslane, then back through Glen Fruin. One of those drives where everything was just right :D

A couple of days ago:

Fitted an Ebay DVD/Nav double din head unit!

Not today, but yesterday, got 4 new Michelin Pilot sport 2s, stopped the exhaust from knocking, tightened up the handbrake and replaced a split breather hose with a nice blue silicone one :D

Backed out of garage drove less than 1/4 mile and drove back and put back in garage :D

How lazy is that

Converted it to a garage extension. Now parked up and acting as a temporary bike locker for my bike :)

Blinking handy, having no back seats, roll in roll out bike rack FTW!

Finally got round to washing it
