What did you do to your Skoda today?

Featured Replies

Fitted the luggage nets in the boot, and gazed out of the window wishing the snow would disappear! One day old and sat outside on its own!

  • Picked up the new VRS: 2013 Fabia VRS by Graeme_Smith, on Flickr

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

Scraped the ice and snow off it....... again!!

Left it running for a while for the car to do it for me but it didn't. Not warming up too quick with this cold weather.

Drove Mrs Stigs Ferbi to Lakeside and back.............. car booked in due to the culture shock....... :giggle:

Picked the wife up from work and went shopping :)

She said how safe she felt in the Octavia...... If only she knew :)

Left it on the drive for the 3rd day running because we had nowhere important to be.

Went too sideways in the snow and put a wheel up the grass bank

Installed a nice shiny Forge quickshift kit

Understeered on sheet ice into a kerb

Must make an effort not to crash tomorrow

Scraped ice off it again and drove into town and back.

Cleared about 10cm of snow off the poor old VRS. Hasn't turned a wheel in three days, and I am am having withdrawal symptoms

Drove it very gently over the icy roads I need to use to get to work. (But had fun with the quad bike when I got there... :giggle: )

wired up the 2nd fog light, even though I very rarely use fog lights.

Had new front tyres fitted.

Drove back from Taupo to Wellington - and on the way nipped up to Whakapapa Village which is halfway up an active Volcano!!

Pics to follow :)

When it warms up a bit I will try to wash all the dirt/salt/grit off of mine ....I'm sure it used to be a nice light colour once

I passed 128k miles on the way to work this morning on an almost deserted M5 B)

Update.....now washed and nice and clean

Turned the key and it started!! May not sound much but it is for my and my ageing Octy 1.

Washed it! Been bit fed up with it recently but did look nice all clean.

Yesterday I washed it and cleared all the rubbish out of the inside... today I got it dirty again

Dug the snow out of the way so I could open the garage door and get the car out. Then got stuck in a mini drift, then spent 30 mins with spade getting out of the street and onto a surface which has been ploughed.

Minus 7 again last night and due some "light snow" today. Last time they said that it dumped about 10cm

I managed 3rd gear wheelspin in mine this morning :giggle:

Fitted a really good Kenwood CD that I picked up on Ebay for £13.50!!

Works well and looks brand new. Plays MP3 tracks so I can fit about 10 albums onto each disk.

Oh and I wash the car for the first time in a few weeks.

Parked it (Fabia Sport) in Sainsbury's car park and arrange for Mr or Mrs Tosspot to reverse into it and drive off!!

A dint in the plastic and some paint off!!

Arseholes!!! :punch:

I started it!

After being frozen solid (it hasn't been above freezing here for a couple of weeks now and has dipped down to -7 or 8...) since Christmas Eve, it started on the first turn of the key. Was really impressed!

Drove it to work, filled it up with Satan Juice and drove home.

What i've been doing for the past few months - get up , get dressed ,take wify and dog to Sainsbury , walk dog ,shop ,go home , take dog out yet again , then finally take wifey and dog to park ,then once more to Sainsbury ,and home .Exciting life -what ? :giggle::giggle: Ocassionally I do give Furby a treat -I wash her ,and clean out the mess dog brings in -like leafs and dust .

It's a car ,mode of transport -not a god -get a life . :'( :'(
