Washed the buggery out of mine yesterday. Had the thing on alxe stands, cleared all the wheels of new brake dust(blast those plastic wheel nut caps!!), got the inside all fresh again, and tried out the Autoglym gift pack I found in the boot when I picked the car up last weekend!!

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

They're so effective, I didn't have to scrape ice off the windscreen this morning!

:)Last Sunday I dismantled the engine on my 130GL to diagnose a running problem [turned out to be broken piston rings] and made a small amount of progress welding my 2nd Mk1 Rapid 120. Can post some pics if you like.

Washed it, put it back in the garage only to find this morning that it has cat pawprints all over the bonnet and roof and slide marks down the windscreen!!

Booked mine in for a remap at R-Tech

Looked out the window and watched it get covered in leaves... :rotz:

Stripped out the n/s/r door catch mechanism & freed it off so my door would stay shut!:) been quite interesting driving the last 350miles with the door chained to the rear seat brackets!

I have mine booked in tomorrow for the wing bending back to shape after the dodgy jacking incident last week.

Also booked it in elsewhere for the decat downpipe fitting on Tuesday !

Fitted a new dv, did a boost leak test with a tyre inflator, fixed the electric window switch, re-greased the rear wiper motor mechanism, and put some oil in

Got a quote to have my bumper resprayed and headlamp fixed :-||:-||:-|| after neighbours mate reversed into it. He denies it of course :-||:-||:-||
