  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

  • modified the cup holder     It's now a hobnob holder

Started washing the car last night at 10.30, finished about 11.15. All shiny again.

Annoying it because I keep looking at it out the window at my newly Refurbed spiders.

Put in carpeted cut out for centre cup holder, decided against doing the door inserts.

De-badged the rear also - looks much cleaner now!

Fitted up my new number plates. What should have been a five minute job ended up taking an afternoon. The old front number plate had been held on with trim tape which covered about 3/4 of the rear of the plate :wonder: It took ages to carefully get the stickyness off the front bumper. Then when I was taking the rear plate off I discovered that the plate had been screwed through a thin metal flat nut on the inside, which dropped into the inner plastic tailgate cover  It came off quite easily as it's been off before by the looks of things and not fitted back properly. I had to 'nick' the plastic expanding nut that the tailgate 'pull-down strap' should screw into to put into one of the number plate retainer holes. Anyway, job done and a few more small jobs for another day.

took it to a briskoda meet

Washed them both in the rain, two clean cars and no drying them off so NO water marks yippee

took it for an mot, very pleased because it went straight through, no advisories or anything, not bad for an x reg with 238000 miles.

took it to a briskoda meet

Took it to two meets :giggle:

Got the winter wheels swapped for free thanks to Bickertons and given it a wash. Not looking to bad as the jetseal went on in the autumn.

Fitted the jumbobox after modifying it to have a USB socket in place of the aux-in 3.5mm.

Hasn't gone quite to planned though as the 12V socket wiring is different and I now have an airbag warning light :-(

Trivial i know but added Briskoda number plate surrounds and new plates.

Wife really likes them which is good as its her car.

cleaned it ready for the north east skoda meet tomorrow

Fitted my new dogbone mount wiith Powerflex yellow bushes. Seems to have cured the slight exhaust knock when lifting off the power. No bad vibrations either.

Did an Oil Change & Fuel Filter change ready for our Holiday with the caravan at the end of the month

Washed Lynsey's Oct'y, hoovered and cleaned inside aswell. told her not to drive it now!!

Well this weekend I have done sweet FA on it, due to it going into limp mode AGAIN

So decided to detail SWMBO's new motor instead

Picked up a 1/4" drive bar.

Unfortunately I picked it up in the offside rear tyre :(

Cleaned my winter tyres after taking them off the car last week, then spent time picking all the stones and gravel that they've been throwing all over the road out of them.

Then washed my car to try and clear as much of the salt and other rubbish its picked up from the roads off it.

Then put some petrol in it.

Yesterday: washed it, put my 'summer' Turinis back on.

Renewed the insurance and it has dropped :)

SWMBO took the Octy for an Mot - and it passed :)

Replaced the parking ticket holder with a new one( old one had lost it`s spring) and dropped off my fog surrounds to be wrapped black magic to match the b pillars roof and grille. Also having new clear coating on rear arches, ( free of charge as my wrapping firm wants feedback) :)

Just replaced the batteries in my keyfobs as well

Quick 2 hour clean, also ordered some new badges bonnet/boot and all four wheels as they are decaying.

Need to chop the exhaust cutout a bit wider. Haven't worked up the courage to do so yet.

Thinking of removing the bling chrome strip as it doesn't fit with my red and black theme.

Also planning to paint the new bit black - it has some small marks in the plastic. Plus presumably the plastic will fade eventually but paint shouldn't.
