What did you do to your Skoda today?

Featured Replies

Re fitted my marker lights after having the lenses smoked and put another set of winter wheels on and cut my tailpipes off the exhaust but still need to do more work on the exhaust to keep it hidden underneath but thats a job for another day.

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

  • modified the cup holder     It's now a hobnob holder

Took mine to the Essex meet and filled it up again.

Fitted some coming home lights :)

Couldnt that just be enabled with VAG-COM :wonder:

Maybe for you Octy boys, but not on a Fabia.

Box of tricks required:

Aha I see telephone engineer special :giggle::thumbup:

Correct. Only really an option for CANBUS-based VAG vehicles.

Looks like that's done the trick Fabia though, good work emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Not strictly today( on Friday)

Waved it off to the auctions.😭

It did its job 46000 over 2 years hassle free.

Roll on end of Feb😄

Earlier; put in some Millers Diesel 'ECOMAX'. I'd run out, so haven't used any for a few tanks.

Pleasantly surprised too, got it on Halfords Trade for less than I could find it online. 6p makes all the difference, but mainly as I could buy it there & then and didn't have to wait for delivery emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Drove to work & back which means passing 2 building sites each time then in my break looked at how filthy she is :'( Thought pretty much all day about which mods to do next.

Filled the Fabia up with diesel this morning and in my lunch hour replaced the drivers side broken mirror glass with a heated wide angle ebay special (needed some 'modification' of the plastic carrier as the contacts were in a different place :dull:) and then took the passenger side mirror off to clean the heater contacts up.

So at last I'll be able to see behind me and hopefully a check on the way home will show them both heating!

Got me some spiders! :)

Fitted a new light in the boot. B)

Discs and pads all round on the 4x4. Just warming up now.

Agonising over the Fabia which is in its second week of electrical coma.

Bought some Brembo`s for her  Can wait to get them on now!

Let the snow pile up on it - glad it's polished.

Finaly finished the Grill mods on it after applying some brute force and ignorance to over come skoda's poor design.

Snow foamed, washed, wiped, waxed, dressed the tyres, cleaned the glass and hoovered Mrs Stigs Ferbi vRS :)

Nothing yet but I've bought a tin of smooth black Hammerite to paint some red bits

Calipers? That stuff is thicker than black Treacle, painted my hubs and axels etc

Nothing major, first week of ownership in and my first real chance to go over the car. Topped up with VW507.00 oil from dealer. Adjusted tyre pressures, should have done this through the week, rears were too low, fronts too high. Washed outside and started cleaning up the inside. I think tomorrow, a trip to Halfords for a new battery is on the cards.

Washed it again and found even more stone chips, Bloody grit

Oil & filter change (Quantum 504/507 longlife oil)

New air filter and pollen filter

New NGK spark plugs

Also in the last couple of weeks:

New MAF

Throttle body clean

Running very nicely now :)

cursed my brakes for being too big for the spare!

Fit spare to back, and switch the one that was on the back to the front, to clear your brakes emoticon-0148-yes.gif
