I bought SWMBO a 2005 Corolla with an MMT 'box earlier in the year. It had a new gearbox, clutch, clutch actuator and 'box ECU shortly after we bought it, and luckily Toyota footed the £3800 bill, despite it being 4 years old with 60k on the clocks. :)

Sorry for the off topic ramblings!

Let us know how you get on Phil!

Well things looking good..although another sleepless night. The agency who got me the Toyota interview said they are 90+% sure i have the job.....its just that the service manager needs to sign my wages/costs off to the MD who happened to be on a day off, gggrrrrr. As for the others one would be mine if i could wait till January????? The other was in a "Nationwide" bodyshop and although im a qualified techie "your cv shows no experience of strip/fitting"?? lol

Role on tomorrow morning

Keep you all posted, good luck to all that are looking for employment, its tough out there

Phil

Sorry to hear about you losing your job, hope the job interviews go well and that you find something soon, I know how you feel my husband was made redundant recently even thogh his company promised all their employees that there would be no redundancies they went ahead and started to make people redunant very quietly and people were going home and not coming back the next day because the company had made them redundant, best of luck finding a job

I gained another job in the 3rd week of September and now have two jobs: one working in a convenience store and another job as a Vehicle Delivery & Collection driver with a car rental firm called EasiDrive.

The pay from the shop job keeps me going for general spending each week (pay is about £56 but I get through closer to £80) and the pay from the driving job - which I get paid monthly for - goes into my Skoda fund. The Skoda fund currently stands at £5160 and can add £329 to that - if I can find my P45 ffrom the JobCentre before payday.

if I can't find the P45 then I will claim back the tax paid when the current tax year ends. And get a P45 replica from the JobCentre as well. Pretty certain I didn't give that to the shop.

Hey Phil - sorry, just seen this. Sorry to hear your news, but good that you're getting interviews and really hope the Toyota position comes through for you

On the employment side for your previous position, I'd drop into your local Citizens Advice for some guidance.

All the best,

Steve
