But as said, the life of a Xenon bulb should far outlast any Halogen. Last I recall someone was to be charged £75/bulb but was done under warranty as dealer/SUK agreed should last (IIRC a figure of 10 years average usage quoted?)

Doesnt the initial cost also include a higher capacity alternator and battery system too?

Poorboys leather stuff?

Sounds weird.

First reaction like that I've ever had to it! What's weird about it? It's a leather feeding and conditioning solution...

aaah ok, maybe not so bad if it lasts for that long :)

Now I want them again, dammit

Most manufacturers charge about this level, in fact some of the bi-xenon systems are four figures. There's quite a bit to the system then, beyond just the bulbs.

Replacement bulbs are around £100, but defect parts excepted they should really last the life of the car, or at least the ownership period of the average car buyer

The HIDs in Skodas are the 4300K ?? So the bulbs are £45 not £95.

And a larger screen wash bottle and headlamp washers :)

Plus obviously the different wiring loom to handle the ballast startup and the auto-levelling system, which has a sensor on the rear axle.

Boys and leather together sounds weird in german ears :)

I believe they're 4300s, yes. But the cost usually depends on the fitment type, and I'm afraid I don't know what they are in an Octy2.

Ah right. Well I suppose you could use it on your clothes as well, if you're that way inclined?

I am in the lucky position to have ordered both, but having had both on different cars separately, I know I would choose Xenons EVERY time.

I only realised this when I sold the White Rallye, I missed the Xenon's the most
