OK, I will do the first two now, as you all know what a vRS is like....

Cheers for the nice welcome too.

Welcome to Briskoda.

Lots of new members with new Fabia vRS's at the moment, its going crazy. We have had three come in as sales demo's and they have all been bought within the last two weeks and we cant get hold of any for ages now...lol. Was the same last year when they we first launched, nice to see they are still popular.

Welcome to Briskoda. Go and enjoy your new toy.

The first Skoda I had was the Octavia 1.9 110 Elegance, which was a very attractive car, and performed flawlessly, returning 44mpg thrashed, or 60mpg on a gentlish run (Up to 80mph, laying off the turbo) and had the legendary boot which I still miss a tad!

Handling was fine with the standard big alloys and tyres, and refinement was also very relaxing, although the door always had a teensy bit of wind noise near the mirror.

It had cruise control, which was nice on the motorways as it prevented the speed creeping up to 100 where 80 was a bit more sensible (No points yet!)

Climate control was good and bad. Good because it worked, but sometimes I had to manually boot the fan up as it would virtually cut out airflow when it reached the required temperature (anybody else notice this?)

Due to financial reasons I traded it in for a similar age Fabia 1.4 Elegance estate which I found a bit sweeter due to the 16V engine, and a bit lighter to drive (Gears, clutch and steering) but a bit harder work too (where has the torque gone!?)

Fuel consumption was not as bad as I had feared, with an average of 38.5mpg overall (Great trip computer eh?) and space was superb (no pun) and the performance once revved up was stunning considering the engine size!

Now I have gotten a vRS. Skoda earnt this sale...
