Well..I'm back with a large bump!!

Just taken the bull by the horns and ordered an Octavia Vrs CR 170 with DSG, Xenons and parking sensors and spare wheel (Not included!!)...in Anthracite Grey!!

I have until next Monday when the order goes to the Skoda factory, to change it .

I will be taking delivery on 1st March for the '10' plate...Hell of a long wait!!

My Honda has been fantastic but the new Octavia with its power, DSG, electronic diff lock and many more goodies was too tempting.

The £400 for metallic was just out of range for me..I would of had Anthracite otherwise.

I did consider white but was not brave enough!!!

So for the first time ever in 39 years of having cars, I'm having the same colour as the previous car ---- Focus ST in Colorado Red to Octavia VRS in Corrida Red

I wasnt going to pay the £400 extra.

I have 2 red cars at the moment and they are as pink as bright yellow!!

common? ok there's a few posted on here (and mine on order) but I've never seen one on the road - and i see prob 2 or 3 vrs every day (silver or race blue normally) so I'd hardly call it common.

I mean more white cars in general, not just vRS's. They are everywhere now. Bit of a gimmic at the moment.

frazerpants...The 0% VAT means nearly £2000 off the list price..Therefore....£17400 ish

In any case, I'd be really quite happy if a taxi looked as good as that!

I think the popularity of white is grossly exaggerated anyway. It's just that we're now more aware of the colour being available again and not like I see hundreds more about, just a few more on models that previously weren't available in a pearl white finish - like the 1-Series for example. It's just being considered by 'normal' buyers again for 'normal' cars (i.e. not taxis & vans!!)

My White vRS CR should arrive early Jan, can't wait. Counting days, hours and minutes.

The red really stands out but the white looks sporty and refined at the same time.

my white estate should be here late dec early jan! Cant wait have to say I've not seen that many white cars, mostly around here are silver, black, blue and red.

Good choice, metallic is worth £400
