Door handles & side mouldings

Featured Replies

Im getting a Silver vRS and am definately going to colour code the side mouldings and door handles, I have read a previous thread about Milotec offering the silver door handles (are they a perfect colour match?), but cannot find this on their online web site. With regard to the side mouldings, is it simply a case of getting them sprayed or what (I know someone who can do this for me)? Everything else on the car is already body coloured isnt it.

Thanks, Chris.

Josh is your man for this sort of thing.

Hi I had an escort years ago and had everything on it body coloured. You need to apply a special coating to the moulding before you spray it to allow the paint to bite in. Apart from thats it is an easy enough process.

How's hellfire,

If you look at the picture of the Octis @ the top of the screen you can see my fully coded red RS on the very right. Everything on the car was removed the day it arrived in the garage and it got its paint treatment. It is the only way to ensure a really nice job.

Ask Josh or Devonutopia(i think) for a picture of them. I have them on mine, but mine is red. We both got them from Buttcos.

Buttcos? anyone have a link or is it a person on this forum. Does Josh do the colour coding or does he make colour coded door handles ready to be shipped?

Im pretty sure you can just remove the side mouldings.

Butt Co is a company not a person, Josh just has fitted the handle covers.

JM Buttco are a Skoda parts dealer in Bawtry, South Yorkshire... you will find a link to their website in the links section.

Josh has the door handle covers on his silver Fabia.

You will need to speak to a spray shop about getting your side moulding colour coded.

iirc the door handle covers are chromed not body coloured.

Thanks.

The door handle covers are stainless steel, not chromed plastic and just stick on (you will need to order the keyhole covers and tell them the number of keyholes you need when you order (0,1 or 2)
