Well I drove the DSG box TFSI vRS today and very pleased with it. Just need to decide what spec to go for (it will be white). Think I will remove the adjustable boot box and invest in anthracite alloys with white on the estate. The rest to be decided...

Just a suggestion, but why don't you go for black alloys ?

not sure, I guess I would need to see them in the flesh, I was talking to one of the dealers who mentioned they had a white hatch ordered with the alloys resprayed anthracite and said it looked fantastic. Still weighing things up and want the car to look unique (ish)!

Many thanks. Still tempted to go with the anthracite alloys/ white combo.

I have a white estate on order, my plan is to get the wheels done in anthracite. No "real" pics but i did a quick photoshop:

nb. this is also "lowered" with photoshop -hopefully with the eibach's i've ordered it will ride something like this height..

Thanks I did see this pic, gives me food for thought! anyone else with a white motor with anthracite alloys please post pics

I think I'll be going to Anthracite - Now just to decide if I have the Zeniths powdered or buy new wheels

Looking at replacing my 57 vRS and quite keen on an estate in vRS in White (hope I won't regret it!) Can anyone tell me if it is a solid paint option (i.e. cost free)

Also what options are "a must" on a white vRS estate?

Thanks to all as always.. Where are you vRSStu?

Cheers

Mark

I have had my Candy White Vrs Estate a month now and although it's been washed several times ( weather!!!) it still 'looks' clean. I've got silver roof rails and they look good in my opinion. Also had a proper job done on the rear windows by Glasstint of Anlaby near Hull and it looks good. Previous car was a Race Blue estate.. Makes me laugh when people think it's plod!!!!

thanks wessee. I think I'm close to going back to the dealership with the estate in mind. Was not sure about black or silver roof rails. I think I'll ask the dealer for an anthracite alloy makeover as they have done this for a previous customer.

how much is it to wrap your car in white or other colours for that matter. Id love matt black, cool as fook. any links etc and do they do the insides of the doors or would you have to put up with seeing the original colour on your door frames everytime you open the door

i been quoted £900 outside only, they can do inside but its alot more, search google for place in your area

Is there an aditional charge for painting the wheels black ?

I think it looks great as long as you have black wheels.

It may be a bit blingy for me so I will probably have to go for the Blue one with silver alloys.

My current car is black and is a nightmare to keep clean so I would be put off the white for similar reasons.

Question is do I have the bottle to order a white one.

I just cant decide and I'm ordering one on Friday to catch the VAT free offer

BOTTLE BOTTLE BOTTLE BOTTLE BOTTLE BOTTLE BOTTLE BOTTLE ! :giggle:

White even when dirty doesn't look as bad as the black does. But everyone is going for white nowdays be original and go for blue :p

Is there an aditional charge for painting the wheels black ?

Yes. I think some UK dealerships are organising it pre-delivery on behalf of customers (I assume using the same wheel refinisher that they normally use for kerbing damage etc). I seem to remember a guy from Skoda Australia saying they were offering it as a proper option over there?

You can get a set of 18s powder-coated black / anthracite / whie / whatever for 200 quid including tyre removal, refitting and balancing.

Those are piccies of my white vRS with black wheels earlier in thread - I arranged the wheel painting when the car turned up at the dealers before pdi. They recommended the wheel finishing company as someone they use - I popped in for a chat and to see some examples of their work and was that impressed that I got him to organise with the garage there and then. He showed me some colour options and I went for satin black. He did a great job and when I got a puncture a few weeks later he repaired that for me (I was paranoid about the wheel paint being damaged by a regular tyre fitter).
